Carter is right.
LOL ok. Capitals didn't even come close to dominating game 3. It was an evenly played game where we dominated for some time and then it switched to the Capitals.

Newb with 6 posts makes GDT. It's a wildcard, but I like it.

On both points.
While the Caps have outplayed us, I really think people need to reread the definition of domination.
He made three points...
We must've watched totally different hockey games. The Rangers were getting ***** at ES. Caps have ridiculous zone time and far better scoring chances.

I don't go by zone time. I go by scoring chances and SOG. The Caps will continue to get those long zone times because we just can't get the puck from them, but we equally matched it with our shot blocking and blocking the lanes. They didn't get nearly as many scary chances as they did in Washington.
On the other side of the rink, we took advantage of what was given to us and finally capitalized on our opportunities.
Do the Rangers dominate a game if they keep passing the puck to themselves behind the net and get such great zone time?
Like untouchable and must-win.
They responded with a win, of course. But despite the flip side of that same coin - the Caps' loss (and let's not minimize it - 3-0 and 2-1 are barely comparable situations to be in) - Adam Oates's troops should be heartened by much of what transpired during the sixty-minute slugfest. The Caps dominated the game at even-strength (well, other than on that pesky box that hangs over center ice with all the numbers on it), out-shooting their hosts by a 30-18 margin. On most nights, the Caps can be expected to have the better of the special teams play (that was certainly the case for the first two games), so adding even-strength superiority to that advantage is a recipe for good things.
Which goes to show you he's a better analyst than a hockey player.

Look at the FF% of each rosters, that's pure dominance. If game was played on paper, they should effectively be up 3-0 in the series. I don't have much faith in this team's even strength play to turn it around unfortunately. 3-2 Caps in OT.
Caps dominated us in the 1st 2 games.
They outplayed us in the 3rd, but didn't dominate.
I believe it's played on ice though, if I'm correct.
Well that's just like, your opinion, man.????
Game 1 is the only game in this series that the Caps didn't dominate. They mauled us in the 1st period that game, but from that point on it was pretty even.
In game 2 & 3 we were looking like an ECHL team at ES.
MSG has such terrible ice that it is now being called paper.
Stay tuned for more breaking news.
If the game was played on paper, Pittsburgh would be sweeping the Isles.

Correct. As the saying goes, anything can happen. Like Lundqvist finding a dragon egg.![]()
