I agree with this post to an extent. The usual crowd is making things sound much worse than they actually are. "Boring, stone age hockey" has led to this game being even so far. Period was fine. However, richie and nash need to step up if we want a chance to win this game.

Sure they do. I have more complaints myself, but what's the point of putting every single one up here? The board is pretty useless when it's just a platform for complaining.

As others have said, it's not only the "buzz" of a bandwagon fanbase, it's a lot of people with less self-control than my soon to be five year old with the banging on the glass.

Don't have a problem with thst either.

Its the POs. Happens in every arena.

I love it.

Nash is running into the same problems Gabby did last year -- He's the only offensive threat in a Rangers uniform, and every one on the other team knows it. That was sort of the entire point of bringing him with Gaborik.

But I thought the great Derrick Brassard is to compensate for the loss of Gaborik?

I realize that Zuccarello has played with an extremely long stick in the SEL and KHL, but it seems that in a league where he gets less room (NHL), that his long stick is a hindrance when he's trying to control a pass that's not directly on his tape.

Just an observation.

Truth is Caps were a point better than we were during the course of the season in a much crappier division. and both teams played well down the stretch. You should be expecting these games to be very close. Hell, if Pittsburgh/Isles is 1-1...

The "Great Brassard" had 11 points in 13 games with the Rangers. 5 goals.
Gaborik had 19 points in 35 games with the Rangers. 9 goals.

Yeah, Gaborik was much more of an offensive threat this year.

Agreed. Small players should play with shorter size appropriate sticks. Allows them to retain their shiftiness.

Pretty even period. Rangers got slightly outplayed I think, but Hank made the key saves when he had to.

That Dorsett-Brassard-Pyatt line could be good if there wasn't a cemented footed idiot in Pyatt out there. If only the Rangers had some big-bodied speedster with a great shot on their team.

Anyone else notice how beastin' Brassard has been in the faceoff circle since coming here?

He's very on and off. Has some nights where he's unbeatable, and others he'll go 40%. Still, he does seem better than Richards, who hasn't been too great in the circle this year.
