Rangers are trying TOO hard to get the puck to Nash and Washington knows it. Smallest guy on our team has the biggest balls. Go figure.

I was kind of thinking about that before the series started. And Nash has to be responsible too, and look to dish it off once two guys in red come over to double team him.

Right there is a perfect example of being overly conservative. Cally has nothing on the far side. Perfect play for the Dman to commit into the zone and one of the forwards to swing back to cover for him.

They would have caught all of the caps players committed to far side and left a massive scoring chance to the trailing Dman.

What does Cally do(because he is told to)? Takes a bad angle shot that bounces to the far side and the Caps get a scoring chance on the counter attack.

Has anyone else noticed how friggin soft this team is with regards to when they are trying to clear the puck. Another issue is the blind passes around the boards. Get in trouble wing it regardless of the lack of support on the other side.

This thread is pathetic. Might as well go to the Caps board if all we're going to do is crap all over the Rangers.

This period is exactly what I expected the series to look like. Both teams have decent possession, washington has better scoring chances. The Rangers aren't going to win by trading quality chances with these guys.

Our inability to score goals is front and center for the nation to see. Torts' style definitely works in the playoffs...imagine no Lundqvist...Tortorella would've been gone by now.
