Do you have any experience with back pain and how it happens? I don't think you do if that's your response.

My back issue started when I was snow shoveling and I felt like I tore my f***ing ACL. It was that bad.

I'm not trying to argue, but I don't think you know what you're talking about. It may be very well that the Strome injury is actually a knee/leg injury. No clue. But where he was hit and the leg pain certainly could be related especially since a few of us with back issues have pointed that out.
