With that said, I think we take them out in 5. Losing only game 3.

Game 5, Garden goes berserkamundo, as Goodrow pots game winner in O.T. (fitting, right?)

These 8pm / 2am games are the absolute worst.

Early enough that there's no point trying to sleep before the game, and late enough that there's no point trying to sleep after the game.

However this series turns out, it's been a great run for the team. Oddly, I have a good feeling about this series. Rangers in four.

If we played them in the 1st round, I could see 4-0. I am more uncertain now since we showed signs just what 5-6 days ago of being somewhat worn out in G5.

But who knows, the guys coming back for us are huge. The kids line showing some jump is huge. Panarin has certainly not put in the miles to be worn out (but might of course battle injuries, which even may be likely). Kreider cannot get tired, it’s Mika who is at danger there. Fox.

Ranger in four, I second your bet.

A couple things. Hedman and McDonagh are going to get tons of ice time on separate pairings. It's not likely we're going to jump all over them and score lots of goals. Those two have seen and been through pretty much everything. It will be helpful if there is a carryover from the Carolina series with our power play because Tampa takes its share of penalties. It might turn into a lower scoring series than the first series or the second half of the second series.

The other thing is Tampa doesn't have a lot of injury depth. Riley Nash and Alex Barre-Boulet at forward and Fredrik Claesson on defense are the likely candidates they'll go to if they run into injury problems. Hagel was kind of banged up at the end of the Florida series. Whether he is now is a ? Point probably is out for at least the first game and maybe even the series. With Point out they've been going with 11F and 7D even with minute eaters like Hedman and McDonagh on D.

If Point plays you've got to knock him around. As long as they're not dirty it's the way the game is played and especially around this time of the year you've got to give your all.

Its disgusting how much disrespect we get on any hockey show or podcast. I said this in the other thread, Tampa has yet to play a team such as us. Toronto didnt have defense or goaltending and while they have Mathews and Marner, they really dont have anything else. Panthers dont have goaltending or defense as well, plus the makeup of their team is all scorers. No diversity to counter attack what the lightning did.

We have Igor, our defense is much better than anything they've faced, our offense is more than 2 players, our team makeup has everything to combat the lightning. This is going to be a tight series all the way but we most definitely have the best chance to knock the lightning out.

Most comments in the athletic are terrible.

Bolts fans here have mellowed out a ton since the embarrassment of 2019. Avs fans have taken over as the fanbase that is just insufferably arrogant despite the fact that they've won nothing recently.
