I just don't consider JT's offensive prowess [at this point in his career] to be so much greater than D. Moore's that it justifies the inevitably countless defensive mistakes that line will make. I think JT should be given as little responsibility as possible, 4th line wing. Just IMO.

That line has had a really good shot differential the entire playoffs, due to the fact that they spend most of their time in the other teams zone.

Putting JT at 4th line wing just makes him a place holder. He's much more than that. He needs to be given a chance to get involved. When he's moving his feet, much like Kreider, he's a menace to handle.

Which line? Stepan's? You could make the argument to leave JT off the 4th line, as they get the vast majority of their starts in the D-zone.

Why?

I think Moore might do better on the line than stepan.. Stepan kind goes invisible and some how gets points. But I feel like Moore is more noticeable

Why?

Well if he's going to be used as a placeholding winger on the 4th line which is used defensively, I would rather have gone with Fast

Why?

Because he's talented enough to be a factor in our offense.

For the record, I don't think putting Dom Moore in that spot is a terrible idea or anything...but he's a decent talent drop off from Stepan. I'd say Miller is better fit to be on a line with those two.

Also, that line doesn't have to be given 1st line minutes. It could be given cushier minutes, and I think that line could dominate if put in the proper position.

This sums up my thoughts precisely.

Hence why I said I was confident in whatever the lineup ended up being in my first post. At this point in the season I don't care who is playing where as long as we end up winning. I'd prefer players strengths be utilized and that they not be put in situations that might ask them to do too much. That's not always possible though.

So, two years ago when we were in desperate need of an offensive and energetic boost, Torts should have totally put in a wily vet over Kreider, right?

Cause who cares about potential, anyway....

Miller don't have attributes that made inserting Kreider a success: speed, shot, strength. Plus back then the Rangers were more desperate for offense and Moore like replacement was not available. If he was t is not a guarantee that he Kreider sees any ice time.

Posters can go anywhere they like on the site, as long as they're being courteous while on another team's forum. Trying to play mod and telling posters where they can and cannot post, however, is against the rules.

I wouldn't have had a problem with putting Fast in.

They're both a drop off from Stepan. Moore's offensive production has been arguably better than quite a few other forwards considering he get's roughly 8:00 of 5-on-5 time per game and no PP time.

I trust AV though.

I don't think anyone give offensive prowess to Moore over Miller (and not the way either, at this point it mostly even) but he is so much better on the defensive side INEC.

Guys, if you want to discuss the Rangers without any backlash from other fan bases then do so over here. If people are coming in here and we feel they're causing trouble we will take care of it. Don't try to take care of it yourselves. I recommend we just stick to our boards to avoid any trouble.

Why not Lindberg?

So then why are Habs fans being allowed to post at all over here?

I don't want to debate with them or read what they have to say. Theres a reason why I haven't been to the NHL board in days.

We take care of the ones who come in here that cause trouble. If they want to come in here and be civilized then we're not going to kick them out. Doesn't matter if you don't want them here if they're not breaking any rules they can post wherever they want. Same can be said for anyone.
