Yes, the issue is that it's not scheduling most weekends. There are ones here and there. I know as time goes on that the schedule does tend to get away from making sure all the weekends are a priority. Was hoping these road trips were a bit more focused, or have like the 2-game miniseries that you tend to see, but ultimately trying to be away from 3-in-3's. The last ones I ran, I only made it a 64-game season.

So, the Basic Data screen does have 4 in that slot. Are you saying on the 'schedule dates' screen under Date it should say '-1' even though it has that under Day as well?

Can you reach out to me on Steam/Discord? Will be easier to talk in near-real time.

v6.3 of Pivot uploaded:

Fairly substantial update especially for NCAA players. NHL organizational re-rates have started, I am going to be focusing on implementing more of a attribute floor for NHL players, I like where the re-rates landed. Also making improvements for defensive players to make them much more viable options for your roster. Open to feedback!

General Updates:

- Latest notable transactions -- thanks Matee!!

NHL Updates:
- NHL organizational re-rating (players, prospects and RFAs) completed for: Anaheim Ducks, Colorado Avalanche, Columbus Blue Jackets, Montreal Canadiens, Nashville Predators and Seattle Kraken

NCAA Updates:
- Thanks to help/inspiration from Flinch and Penguinrevolt, we have remade the league structure for the NCAA D1 tournaments into one giant league. This is something we have been thinking about doing for a while, it's a little closer to real life and makes it more management for us when it comes to updating details like career histories. If the community strongly dislikes this change, I will reverse it and look for other options. I'm very interested in your feedback about this change. This will also fix the crashing when selecting all US leagues which we started experiencing last update.

British Updates:
- Updated EIHL foreign player and roster size rules based on 2021-22 season regulations -- thanks Archi and ChaiTiefling!!
- Updated EIHL and British Challenge Cup rules -- thanks Archi!!

Canadian Updates:
- Updated NOJHL rosters
- Added secondary Canadian citizenship for non-Canadian or American players who are considered domestic based on where they played junior. Feature request opened to add functionality to support this situation in the future, for now manual workaround -- thanks PensFan101!!
- Added support via 1.5 transfer rule to consider United States a domestic nation for all CHL leagues

Russian Updates:

- Further tweaking to KHL transfer rules per feedback from several folks -- thanks to everyone who provided feedback

Slovenka Updates:
- Added/updated coordinates for several cities, updated 2.Liga league structure team sorting, fixed playoff tree issues and added promotion/relegation between 1 and 2.liga. -- Thanks Punks_Not_Dead, penguinrevolt and Matee!!
- Updated several club and competition names -- thanks Matee!!
- Will update Hokejova liga, 2.Liga, U20 and U18 rosters and staff next update or patch the changes in late next week.

United States Updates:
- Combined USNTDP U17/U18 under the USNDP competition with the only change being upper age limit per competition. Interested in feedback/reports of issues!
- Updated USNTDP U18 roster

Just wondering, I assume there's going to be a new update on/near opening night?

Was thinking about starting a new game and might as well wait a week if a new update is coming out.

I'll confirm this weekend, but I have a modded DB with expanded Ukrainian Hockey League with juniors and a 2nd division and all that, ranking Ukraine in between roughly Germany and Finland playing in Olympics, WJC, World Championship etc. and I'm pretty sure it's playable as well. Will get back to you
@Smirnov2Chistov Sorry for the delay getting back to you, but yeah Ukraine is fully playable. I think the big thing is that I set the Nation Rep a little above Switzerland, same League Standard as Swiss, Game Importance to Major, and Development State to Developed World. I imagine you'd likely need to do the same, and create a bunch of Portuguese players to make it playable.

That's fine, we can take this to PM if you would like.

It's been so long since I started this save, but I believe I had set all the markers for Portugal as 'Major Importance' so they could be 'drafted' into the World Championships by default over North Korea through the unofficial Editor. I'm not that savvy with creating a 'league' and scheduling, but if I were to do something like that, it would certainly be: Domestic League + Junior A.

Like I said before, there is a decent 'pool' of players for the AI to choose from when building a roster, it's the 'human playable' aspect I am looking for. I just change nationalities for players that would never play for their country through the EHM Assistant.

Pivot v6.4 - Start of NHL season - posted

Thanks to everyone who provided feedback and helped with some testing between these last two releases, this is a big one! TBL to be updated shortly as well.

Two big updates in this release, for the first time since I started helping with TBL we have a full-time dedicated Swiss researcher, who actually works for one of the SL teams! This is a huge add for us! Secondly we have made some amazing updates in Russia with the help of new researcher Angry_Duck who somehow has access to the KHL financial data and we have FULL SALARIES for the KHL and staff!

Also notable are the massive CA changes for NA staff, I really need feedback with these changes! Scales are now the following (will adjust tiers for Europe later this year). This was intended to bring staff CA more in-line with players, really interested to see how this works out. We are hoping this also helps with staff regens as that pool gets really bad 10+ years into the sim.

NHL GM/HC: 150-200
NHL AGM/AC/Scout: 130-160
AHL GM/HC 110-140
AHL AGM/AC/Scout (CHL GM/HC): 90-120
ECHL All (CHL AGM/AC/Scout): 70-100
SPHL All: 50-80

General Updates:
- Latest notable transactions -- thanks Matee!!
- Greatly improved North American staff and re-tiered from major junior through the NHL. Looking for feedback on these changes, brings staff more in-line with players, should greatly improve staff pools over time.
- Updated national minimum wages and updated salary wage floors globally, looking for feedback on these changes!!

NHL Updates:
- Updated NHL rosters as of the 5 PM submission deadline. Players assigned to minors/juniors as needed (AHL/ECHL rosters partially updated, to come when those are finalized after camps wrap up, will back-port into TBL).
- NHL organizational re-rating (players, prospects and RFAs) completed for: Arizona Coyotes, Chicago Blackhawks, Dallas Stars, New Jersey Devils, New York Islanders, San Jose Sharks, St. Louis Blues, Winnipeg Jets
- Updated NHL/AHL/ECHL affiliations based on recent announcements
- Updated NHL transfer rule for max years on contract -- thanks jth!!
- Updated date for NHL All-Star game (February 5th)

British Updates:
- Updated several club competitions and club details (mainly junior and university teams) and well as lots of player/staff updates across all leagues -- thanks ChaiTiefling!!

Canadian Updates:
- Updated QMJHL rosters, staff and player rights -- thanks Manimal!!
- Removed overage player rights for OHL and WHL

Russian Updates:
- Updated financial data for all leagues, retired some UFA players, and added player and staff salaries -- thanks Angry Duck!!
- Updated transfer rules for KHL to allow for loans between teams
- Slight updates to KHL rosters

Slovakia Updates:
- Updated rosters for Slovenská Hokejová liga, 2. hokejová liga, Extraliga juniorov, Kaufland Extraliga dorastu

Swiss Updates:
Thanks Marcomuetti for all the items below!!
- Updated foreign player rules for NLA, NLB and MSL
- Updated players/staff across all Swiss leagues, much more updates to come!
- Updated league rules (OT, shootout, icing) for all leagues
- Updated playoff format for SL
- Updated transfer rules for NL

Was going to sent a PM to @xECK29x about missing stuff, but then I remembered that Steam is Steam and tried the unsub/sub trick. It had indeed changed the name of the roster, but not the content.

The only missing thing at first glance is Lucchini getting traded to Belleville for future considerations (that was today), but that's a who cares move so...

EDIT: Also, the injury to Niku is likely too long as he has already started to skate full contact.

Fixed an issue with the PG sheet that was creating wingers with multiple primary positions, shouldn't impact your game too much if you already started a sim but wanted to let you know.

In my save, Arizona made such an Arizona decision and picked Brad Lambert in front of Shane Wright, leaving Buffalo the pleasure of getting a Eichel/Wright 1/2 punch.

Now see, that's a piece of the DB that needs to be updated - John Chayka would have done that, but not Bill Armstrong... :D

Fun moment...Michkov gets drafted #2 in 2023 by the expansion Aeros...has to see out his contract with SKA until April 2026 - but then snubs Houston and re-signs in the KHL with Avto until 2032. Finally comes over that summer and makes his NHL debut in October of 2032, a full 9 years after being drafted at the age of 27. While in the KHL he won the scoring title 6 out of 7 years, the goal scoring title 7 of 8 years, and Player of the Year and best forward both 6 out of 7 years. At age 28 his international resume for Russia is 81 goals and 187 points in 145 games.

All he does his "rookie" year is score 60 goals and 133 points, winning the Hart, Art Ross, Ted Lindsay, Messier and Plus-Minus awards - basically sweeping every single major trophy except second in the Richard (more on that later).

This season, he's currently pacing for over 2 points-per-game and a whopping 9.12 game rating.

Sometimes it pays to be patient? Lol. Just think - he was drafted #2 overall and his NHL team had to wait 9 years but my god, is he worth every penny now.

His teammate Cole Eiserman is #2 in the NHL in scoring this year...he won the Richard last year with 66 goals and was second in points behind Michkov with 119. What a duo:

NFxTQYR.png

Bedard was third in last year's Richard but has won the goal scoring title 4 times - putting up seasons of 80, 73, 70 and 66 goals while also collecting 4 Art Ross and 3 Hart Trophies thus far.

Elsewhere, Joakim Kemell has become the new great Finn (him and Kiviharju):

ioaRB82.png

Future 2007-born real life phenom Ryan Roobroeck also becoming quite a star (as intended!):

0YfWfk3.png

And we got our first true Japanese superstar...this guy was the #2 pick in the 2031 draft...he steps into the NHL as an 18 year-old and scores 40 goals and 97 points. Second year - 48 goals and 112 points and now in his third season shows no signs of slowing down. He's 6'-4, 228 and plays center - while not as truculent - Philly fans call him the "Japanese Lindros".

This is a nice time to pause the sim and survey the landscape because all the real NHL prospects have been or are in their primes now so it is interesting to see how things have unfolded. If you are curious to see what has become of your favorite team, nation or player let me know and I'll post how they have fared in this particular sim :)

@xECK29x @BKarchitect

do either of you guys know if there is a way to lower the possibility of wingers developing their faceoff skill so much? I'm currently in 2034 and their are a supreme amount of players who's primary position is wing, that have well above average faceoffs. As someone who allows the A.I. to coach all the games, its real frustrating watching my natural center with 27 in faceoffs have a 17% faceoff rating while his left wing has 90 in faceoffs, but the coach refuses to swap them. often times ill just hop into the editor and swap their positions myself but I never take the time to do the rest of the league I'm playing in so it happens to all the A.I teams as well.

also @BKarchitect i'd love to see how Kiviharju is doing, and also maybe an eta on launch? :P

If using my DB I’d have to check if some of those guys are from the PG sheet, if they are we can make changes there, otherwise it would be a development modeling issue with the game. However it’s not uncommon to have wingers with good face off skills.

on the wingers with faceoff skill yeah I understand that, even IRL some players played junior/college/europe as centers but once they made the NHL were made wingers. Also some centers converted to wing later in their careers ala Spezza/Giroux. just a lot of these wingers in game don't have C as a secondary position and almost never (if not actually never) take faceoffs. meanwhile some teams have second line centers with like 30 in faceoffs.

Yeah sounds like a game development issue maybe? I'm not sure the game is equipped to deal with somebody like say Landeskog - who should have a high face-off rating and often takes the draws on the MacKinnon line but never, ever actually plays center and thus should have a negligible ability to play center in the game. When you are controlling a team directly you can of course set the face-off man on any line in tactics but when the CPU is just simming, I'm not sure that it recognizes to simulate game data with ideal face-off results.

Here's Kiviharju in 2034 - he was the #2 pick in 2024 behind Eiserman. One of the stars of Quebec and of the Finnish NT. Not outrageous offensive numbers but really steady high-end defenseman - 4-time all-star, has third place finishes in both the Norris and Orr Trophies (I created the Orr and Langway trophies for best offensive and defensive defenders).

vbYbQ9m.png

His star teammate on Quebec is Shane Wright - he isn't quite the offensive genius that Bedard and Michkov turned into but he's a two-way force who regular puts up 90-100 points and he's also won the Selke. So elite two-way franchise center:

Jc7CIG2.png

Dvorsky has been great too although he took the KHL path for a while and made the Pens wait (not as long as Michkov though!)

FfyFVdi.png

Another great Finn in this sim is Topias Hynninen - he was #10 overall in 2024 and has been a lethal duo with Ryanb Roobroeck in Detroit. Top 10 in goals and points so far this year. If you look at his development curve, sometimes it pays to be patient...came over at age 21 too North America, spent the entire year in the AHL and then his 22/23 season had a solid but not spectacular rookie season in the NHL. But then at age 24 he blasted off:

zQ4hR5b.png

Also...Cale Makar has 8 Norris Trophies. So that's kind of a thing...lol

Hi guys,

With FM22 coming around soon I searched on YT for some similar stuff for hockey and I found this game.
So I have few questions.

Where can I buy it? (on steam I suppose ?)
Where can I download the last version/updates (rosters, face packs, ...) Is there a N°1 community site where I can find all I want?

Is my PC good for this game?
Intel (R) Celeron (R) 1.8Ghz
RAM 8 GB DDR3

If you get it on Steam, it'll keep itself automatically up-to-date for the most part. Every now and then I'll have to unsubscrube and resubscribe to a mod. The facepacks and roster updates are all on Steam.

Your PC should be more than fine. It actually runs better on my 10-year old laptop than it does my desktop with music production/gaming specs. There are some good resources here. Just don't abuse the editor or you'll ruin the enjoyment of the game!

I've found this very thread to be the best source of info for me. Helps that the people releasing a lot of the updates post here. Thanks for everything, guys. :thumbu:
