Sign that man at $7-8mil/8 years. I think he’s our second best Dman after JoMo.
What This Means for You:
Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.
In the meantime, feel free to join our Discord ServerNo I don’t think you think that, I think you know thatSign that man at $7-8mil/8 years. I think he’s our second best Dman after JoMo.
There were rumblings of Stanley wanting g a change of scenery at some point IIRCI thought of that but he wasn't here in 2023.

My hot takes can keep you cool on a sunny summer day.Really stepping out on a limb there
But yeah agreed. He's our 2nd best overall defenseman, and best defensively IMO.
Agreed, I think 8x6.5 considering he isnt a big point producer ( yet )Really stepping out on a limb there

I see him more as left handed Brett Pesce. Who is a great player imo.Samberg is transformative for the Jets.
He has made one of the weaker Defenses in the league the strongest. just by being healthy and ready to go.
All situations, all phases.
He is a legit top 4 Dman on any CONTENDER in the league right now. the kind of guy you build around all by himself.
Shift after shift. he just dominates, Slows the game down and he just doesn't make the mistakes sooo many Jets D-men have made over the years.
I'm going to say a name in comparison...and people will scoff..... but IMHO..Samberg is a young Scott Niedermayer.. a true tower of strength on the blue line.
LONG TERM CONTRACT PLEASE!!!
Would have been an awesome deal, but if I'm Dylan and a developing player there's no way i'm signing an 8 year deal based on a season cycling in and out the press box/third pairing scoring 8 points.I wanted to sign him to a 8 year 4.2-4.4 mill contract 2 years ago … instead of. Bridging him ….
How smart would that have been….
Yup.This should be @Whileee's victory lap thread. Was always super high on Samberg even back when he was seen as a pure defensive dman in college.

Funny the things we remember, but I remember an exchange with you after the first round that draft both hoping on getting Samberg in the 2nd the following day. Samberg has turned out to be a great 2nd round pick by Chevy. One of my favourite players.Humble brag time (can those coexist?)
If you look back to the draft thread he was the guy I was hoping we would draft in the second round. Really liked the raw potential and tools he had back when I watched prospects allot more. I am a complete sucker for the Jacob Slavin prototype. The type that has mildly modest point totals (30 to 40 points) due to the lack of PP1 time which leads to teams end getting good value for what they actually bring to the table. Also of note his wife is Dr Samberg (She’s a dentist). Saw her in an interview and she was laughing that patients will see the name and ask her “are you any relation to Dylan”
Nice to see Sammy producing at a 30 point pace over a full season without PP minutes.
