I am starting to think Minnesota losing out on the deal is why we know about this at all.
Lol okay, humor me

Larkins better than Lundell by like, a lot. The deal wouldn't even be realistic if Larkin didn't want out. Saying what you said about points; It's like Red Wings fans telling Florida fans Barkov has similar point totals to Larkin the last couple years and pretending like it's equal. So Florida uses Lundell + 9th overall to add an extra 30 pts in Larkin?
This is a horrible use of assets for something Florida doesn't need.
Did I say the majority?Yeah and then other Wings fans are telling them they're crazy, that Larkin doesn't have that kind of value. The majority view is that Larkin doesn't have that kind of value.

He can be stripped and still play for the team if he's not flexible enough for a trade this summer. 5 years left with less control over trades in the coming years. His only requirement was to go to a good team, he can't act like there's 29 bad teams.Yes. I realize that. But the reality is that he will be traded soon for the best offer. Fans always say just let him sit but teams very rarely do that. Especially with him being the captain. It’s a major distraction and Yzerman will move him quickly.
Yzerman is like Armstrong, in that they’ll try to honor the player request but will do it on their terms. Tarasenko requested a trade from the Blues and it took Doug Armstrong almost a year and a half to make that happen, simply because he wasn’t going to move him for pennies on the dollar. He will crash and burn. Bringing the franchise down with him.
This isn't 40 years ago...or even 10 years ago. It is not the same environment.

There has been a pretty big hunt on who released this in terms of the Wings from some people I know. They believe Larkin's agency did not leak this and know they didn't...Lol okay, humor me
Yzerman will trade him for the best offer he can get. He might hold out for training camp and a month into the season to see if he can get Larkin to expand his list of destinations but he won’t let it fester too long. When your captain wants out you need to get rid of him quickly.

Ya just not a smart move for Florida IMO.Larkins better than Lundell by like, a lot. The deal wouldn't even be realistic if Larkin didn't want out. Saying what you said about points; It's like Red Wings fans telling Florida fans Barkov has similar point totals to Larkin the last couple years and pretending like it's equal.
Also we're just spit balling. Florida wouldn't even have a shot at a guy like this without Larkin demanding a trade out...
Goalie is an issue but, the roster is great; players will want to come play for the Panthers.
Again, spit balling ideas here, idc if he goes to Florida at all. If they wanna use the pick and keep Lundell more power to them if they think that makes them better next year.
Why is this worded like a 30 point difference isn’t massive? So Florida uses Lundell + 9th overall to add an extra 30 pts in Larkin?

Blais, Skinner, 1st & 4th for expiring Tarasenko & Mikkola? And then they moved him for "pennies on the dollar" anyway

I agree many other teams NEED him more to be competitive. Florida would be almost creating a super team. Barkov/Larkin/Bennett down the middle with wingers like Marchand/Reinhart/Verhaeghe is incredible depth not many teams in the east could match... Before tag along cup chasers are added and you consider Rodriguez/Eetu.Ya just not a smart move for Florida IMO.
Many other teams NEED Larkin more than Florida
PHI
MIN
STL
MON
etc
Now before the cap rise allows them to add Brady Tkachuk as a UFA. They will just keep doing older cup chasing goalies until their window finally shuts. A team out Vegas'ing Vegas....I agree many other teams NEED him more to be competitive. Florida would be almost creating a super team. In theory yes. But in practice it rarely happens. He can be stripped and still play for the team if he's not flexible enough for a trade this summer. 5 years left with less control over trades in the coming years. His only requirement was to go to a good team, he can't act like there's 29 bad teams.
Why? Other than coveting that you can not haveIf I'm San Jose...I jump on this.
Why should SJ have much of an interestSo what's the info here? does he want to go to a contender? is he interested in a non playoff team but have mad potential? (San Jose) is he ok with a normal playoff team but non contender? or any team is fine? (Pavel Bure just wanted out)
if his name weren't Yzerman he would've been fired by now. No way can Yzerman afford to play hardball and still keep his job.First off, not a fan...but Yzerman needs to be fired. He's horrible.
Now, all this talk about Larkin wants out. But he has a full NTC and will only go to teams he wants. This will limit Yzerman, and Yzerman is such an ass. I see him playing hardball with Larkin and holding on to him.
