Dylan Holloway 55 points in the last 53 games

Thomas, Kyrou, Buchnevich, Neighours, Holloway, Snuggerud, Dvorsky.

Suddenly the Blues forward group looks stellar moving forward. Perfect execution of a re-tool rather than a "tear it to the ground" rebuild.

Don’t forget Bolduc. They also have 1st rounder Stenberg getting close and a couple European players I’m really high on in Pekarcik and Stancl.

Really great season for him. So what changed for him in St Louis? Did his game develop in ways it hadn’t in Edmonton or was it just more opportunity and a more supportive environment? Either way a great story and a lesson for teams giving up too early on struggling but young and talented players.

Growth opportunity. Also a little more relaxed of an environment. Blues had expectations of being a passable team, not a Stanley Cup winner.

Another thing is him and Kyrou's chemistry is incredible. They've really clicked.

Monty has obviously helped as well as he's helped everyone.

It's tough to play on a team that is grinding for everything. Every tiny little detail is treated like a big deal. While I get it, many young players need to be allowed some leeway and aceept that they will make mistakes.

His name is Stan Bowman and that’s actually his specialty. Letting people get away with things

People criticized holland but he actually made some good moves to try and improve the team even if he had some stinkers. Bowman comes in and immediately makes head scratching decisions that only made the team worse. Bowman is what a real god awful GM looks like.

Bowman may have been the one to decline to match but Jeff Jackson had plenty of time to sign Holloway and chose instead to sign Skinner and Arvidsson.

& given hes Bowmans boss, surely was OK with not matching the two offer sheets.

They both can take a long walk off a short pier and take Katz with them.

In their infinite wisdom, the Oilers hired three straight GMs who were single-handedly responsible for dismantling their previous teams. All for the sake of the Hockey Canada OBC.

Had to laugh at the rumours that Katz was blowing up their phones during the TDL because he was displeased. You absolute loser, you hired these bozos. You're a terrible owner and you'll never see a championship in your lifetime.

Thats actually hilarious. Like you said, he hired these guys. & as the owner of the team he can literally force them to do his bidding.

I think it's moreso the delivery, and consequences of the details not being met.

Monty seems extremely meticulous on the details of the games. Ice time isn't really allocated by production, but moreso playing the right way.

That being said, learning moments on teams that aren't expecting to win it all this year are alot more acceptable and delivered differently than on a team that's really pushing. Mistakes for the Blues this season result in a conversation. Results for the Oilers likely result in a change in lines/benching. Details are always going to be extremely important at the NHL level. It's moreso how do you go about moving on from the mistakes.

I think culture has alot to do with it too and plays into that. I'm not sure what the Oiler's culture is like within the room. But the Blues' seems to be fantastic this year and I think alot of that has to do with this is a group of 22-27 year olds who are building and making their own mark, with alot of veteran's that are there to be leaned on and questioned. I don't know if culture or environment is the best way to put it. We're relying on our youth, but leaning on the vets. Not relying on our youth and leaning on the youth as well.

Katz has always been about two things: Friends and money. McDavid is his meal ticket. He got away with halfassing hires before McDavid but now his decisions have really come home to roost.

Holloway putting up more points than Arvidsson and Skinner combined is hilarious to me.

Thats what you get for hiring Stan Bowman.
The most hilarious part is how many people blame Bowman for Arvidsson and Skinner..... It shows that one does not need to know anything to criticize....

Edmonton could be 3rd in Pacific and still have less points than both wild card teams coming from the Central. Wild.

Imagine what shape Oilers would be in if they didn't have all that historical luck, all those odds defying lottery pick wins never mind historically being gifted Gretzky.

Another point today and helps St Louis win their 10th game in a row. Not bad results
