Tim Hunter as a Nordique (which only lasted 48 games before he was off to Vancouver) always looked a little off, in large part because he choose, for reasons unknown, to wear #65. It was also a double slap in the face that the Flames, a team he had worn a letter for and been a leader on, left him unprotected in the Expansion Draft. After he was selected by the Tampa Bay Lightning, they, in turn, also didn't have any use for him so they traded him to the Quebec Nordiques (not a desirable landing spot at the time) for Future Considerations. After nearly 50 games in La Belle Province, Hunter was placed on waivers where the Canucks picked him and he once again settled into a leadership role with his new club and made his way back to the Stanley Cup Finals (his third) in 1994.
