Remember, half the board said that Troy Terry wasn’t worth the contract we gave him last year

He was though. 7 million is not as much as it used to be and he played at a 60 point pace on an awful teamLast year he was not worth the contract we gave him.
There's a reason why a lot of guys don't get it together until they're 22-25. Meanwhile we're trotting out a lineup with 6 guys who are 19-21, and relying on them for some heavy lifting at that.
I hope Reimer plays tomorrow. Lukas has gotta be exhausted.
If Newell Brown had an evil mustache he’d be twirling it and laughing right now.
What we saw last night is more or less what I expect from the team defensively. It's our offense that has me scratching my head raw.
I don’t think we will see these kinda games as much as last year. It was a difficult situation, lots of travel and then to end up in a high elevation area. Giving them the benefit of the doubt.
If they can take 3 points out of 4 in the next two game home stand , then will be happy, and will start to think they can put together a solid season. Still too early .
Again the PP, is a major issue. Don’t even know what else to even say at this point.
Clune might be a fine coach and probably is more modern than Brown - and if he's a better fit for Cronin, then great - but now i'm really skeptical that there will be any impact attributable to either of them with regards to the PP. IMO it's all about lack of execution, our PPs so far have been a splitting image with last year.
Coaching can help guide development and keep guys on the right path, but no coach can magically make a 20 year old develop into his future 24 year old self overnight.
And our best young guys played only a handful of games all together last year (what was it, about 8 games?). Can we really expect them to be as polished a unit as teams where the lynchpin guys have been together for years? Right now they look like what they look like ... talented kids still learning the game and each other.
Agree with all that, i guess i was just coming out in defense of Brown a bit with respect to the PP. I truly don't think he was holding them backCoaching can help guide development and keep guys on the right path, but no coach can magically make a 20 year old develop into his future 24 year old self overnight.

A polished unit? I'd settle for "hey, it looks like they've probably played hockey before" over what we've been seeing on the powerplay.
You're wrong because I would classify Vegas and Colorado as very good (minus Colorado's goalie situation, obviously) and Utah as good. They're averaging 4 goals/game.2-1-1 versus two good, one mid, and one bad team. The sky is falling and fire the coach. I’m actually pretty happy with this start. Doomsayers, please tell me where I’m wrong.
I’m not in the sky is falling/fire Cronin team yet, but the alarm comes from watching the games versus watching the standings.2-1-1 versus two good, one mid, and one bad team. Special teams are very concerning to me. I think even strength has been decent. I think Verbeek has done a good job of rebuilding and I’m agnostic on Cronin. Re HD, I got off the Murray/Eakins bus a long time ago.I’m not in the sky is falling/fire Cronin team yet, but the alarm comes from watching the games versus watching the standings.
Funny to see you switch places with your archnemesis Hockey Duckie on this one.
