Hmm. His title is Head Coach. That means he is responsible for what happens on the ice. I don't care what he does around the game because what happens on the ice is his purpose. I am not sure I understand what point you are trying to make...These comments about why Maurice is such a bad coach are just weak sauce considering they are based on watching the games and piecing them together afterwards.
No knowledge of training, tactics, man management, coordination with coaching team and management. No, just watch some line changes and piece together a theory about why he is bad.
Yes there is always room for improvement so when the young players improve Maurice gives them that shot. If you listen to Maurice's presser he talks about. I don't agree on some of the things Maurice does but he does run the practices and sees who is working hard everyday while you guys only see 60 minutes of game.Yes. There is always room for improvement. My point is that he is capable of change, if only minor. He needs to change alot more such as trying Wheeler and Schief on different lines. Roslovic on instead of Tanev would also have been a good change.
So why do you think legitimate and well thought out criticism of the coach is bashing?Yes there is always room for improvement so when the young players improve Maurice gives them that shot. Read some of the comments posted ... the same player one person says he was terrible and another says he had a good game ... which is it?
Kudos to a Ducks poster for dropping this beauty it their thread in regards to their losing streak...
Exactly this. He's riding Scheif, Wheels & Helle farrrrrrr too much. No way you can keep doing that & expect those guys to be fresh once you get deeper into the playoffs. PoMo should have learned that lesson long ago, or at least saw it in when we ran into Vegas last year, but he's still living in the past & overplaying his vets game after game.I really doubt he is a good coach. I think he excels in riding his top players and keeping his bosses and top players happy. He really doesn't seem to be able configure a line up where all lines are anywhere near optimal. When you have incredible depth yet ride your top few guys like you are a bubble team a loss or 2 away from getting canned, you aren't really that good.
Randy Carlisle won a cup, maybe we should hire him when he gets firedYep PoMo is responsible for coaching the Jets....
To the 3rd round of the playoffs last year and the best record in the west this year

Use of players in OT was superb yesterday. Keep that up PoMo and you might win me over yet. For sure, would like to see a lot more of Roslo, but sure was encouraging to see Niku & some of the lesser lights get those shifts.Credit where credit is due.
Tanev and Nikki is ONE example where Maurice went off the safe script. Good to see but still would have preferred Roslovic there.
Lots more of those decisions needed.

Well thought out criticism??So why do you think legitimate and well thought out criticism of the coach is bashing?
Didn’t he have an even stronger roster? And how long ago was that?

Yes inconsistency ... this is why I don't understand why Maurice is bashed for playing him on the 4th line.Roslo is still a work in progress so we need to be patient. He’s looking pretty solid all things considered.
what are you spewing now?Wheeler and Schief also only got one shift in Ot.
Well thought out criticism??
Fans who want a certain player on the #1 line or #4 line is not well thought out .... they don't see the practices ... they don't see the missed assignments.
I have no problem criticizing but c'mon man after a win and you are in first place.
hashtag? really?
build? what in hell is that supposed to mean? Tanev is getting what done? Being a top offensive player? I missed that memo I guess. You are the one that brought that up btw. If you think playing Tanev 3on3 for a single shift brings accolades for the coach our standards are so far apart there is likely no conversation to be had.
