Daws overall has been pretty average (which we desperately needed), but he was legit above average tonight.

Yeah this was the first time I'd say he was actually great without even needing to grade on the curve of being a 21 year old

Look, no one is saying Gillies doesn't suck, we know he sucks, but.... There's many other problems with the team.

Nah nothing beats the McLeod thing at the end of OT, I audibly laughed out loud when that happened.

We played decently against three pretty tough matchups without our Captain who was playing stellar hockey. Thats another big sign.

He's turning into their Schneider where he carried them through a rebuild and once they look more promising that his body is breaking down.

I'd say it was better than decent. We rolled the Avs from start to finish. Last 2 games the goals haven't really been there but we controlled 4 of the 6 periods

Blackwood could very easily go either way. I think it's entirely possible he comes in next season fully healthy and is the Blackwood of old

I don't disagree too much. I'm a little skeptical he returns to the Melanson era Blackwood, but I'm not writing it off like I was after 2 bad years of Schneider.

I think there's a better chance he bounces back than I did for a 30-something year old Schneider when he started having trouble.

It's obvious he was injured, I'm just not sure if the injuries are the reason he wasn't good or if they were the reasons he was REALLY BAD and not just meh.

He's played well, I'd even go so far as to say very well, since his scratching. Something many of us said should've been done months ago.

6-4 under Daws on the year and a ~100 pt pace to start the year with some goaltending... Pretty good folks

He's not at all good anymore.

He's Cory Schneider circa 2018-2019 right now. Only he's 28 and not 32-33.

And instead of ''He was a .920% his last 20 games of the season!'' he was a .922% his first 33 games of the season and how he's cratered to a .907% on the season after just 9 more games. And now he's regressed to his lower .900's% of the last two years before this.

And he's signed through 2027 and likely a buyout (or LTIR) candidate in the next few seasons.

He was a great goalie for quite a few years to start his career. Definitely an elite goalie, but he got hurt all the time, even when he was young, still played at a high level and now his best years are almost definitely over. His years of being good are almost definitely over, at least consistently good. He might have some isolated good years.
