That was a rough way to end that game. Damn.

I know it’s sacrilegious to say here, but what am I not seeing with Perfetti? Strikes me as a very “mid” player. Doesn’t bring enough to the table IMO.
Some guy named Sip has said that all along, Perfetan lacks fight which he should have when he can’t score! He isn’t top 6!

Thems the breaks but seriously there should have been a penalty on Gibson for knocking the net off that was BS his team was tried and Jets had possession
They weren't allowed to change, so they remained tired. I didn't really look like he even pushed it off.

OK...I don't understand what just happened.

Just were pressuring. The Ducks were gassed. The Anaheim goalie knocks the net off the bearings. The Ducks are rewarded with a face off, and a whistle blow.

The net gets knocked off a second time, as Ehlers charges to the net. No whistle. Ducks gain possession, and have a 2 on 1 and score.

Am I missing something?
You missed the same obscure rule I did

When the attacking team knocks the net off, play isn't blown dead until they regain possession of the puck (apparently)

The reason that's a shit rule is because there's also a rule that says you can't score when the net's off its mooring...

So imagine that play develops and it's not blown dead. The ducks player somehow makes a pass that hits his own guy and it deflects through where the net *should* have been... no goal?

Anyway, I've never sen that. I would have loved to see helle "accidently" knock his net off on that 2-1 like Gibson did though

What you see here is the difference between a team like the Jets and a team like the Abominable Snowmen (Avs) or Veggie Cakes (Vegas). Those teams set up shop on the hapless Jets when they want to score and you can see total domination and you know its a matter of time before they score at will and always win the games. Jets on the other hand are always the team that you know is gonna cave for the easy goal, even by the worst in the league...

Unfortunately, by the end of this year its going to be games like this and the last one against the Avs that put this team in 4th or maybe even 5th place in the division. If they make the playoffs at all, they'll squeak in to the playoffs and the AVs will take care of them in 4. They have a good system but weak players who can't get it done under pressure. You need to spend lots of $$$$$$$$$ AND be in a favorable market to win in this league now.

Yeah it has become clear that a 2 center remains a need. Can Chevy fill this without going to the rental well is the bigger question.
I don't think Chevy has the appetite for a rental this year, can't keep giving away 1st round picks even if they a down the pecking order.

Namestikov is supposedly fighting through an injury. But he’s looked bad for most of the year.
He's punching above his weight on the second line but Koal needs to get it in gear and start to show what the Jets think he is.

Perfetti and Namestnikov both looked horrible tonight in person. Not sure how they looked on TV.

If Helle plays even average we win.
Namestnikov is playing with one hand right now I think, and Perfetti is flat out a non factor offensively. They need another threat offensively there. The top line is loaded up and v good, but all those who subscribe to "balanced offense" shouldn't be completely opposed at perhaps a swap for the second line.

Yeah let's all blame a Vezina Trophy goalie. What is with your irrational hatred of Hellebuyck? You have wanted him gone for over 5 years.
1 ) You need to calm down bro jesus christ
2) Yes, he was the biggest reason the Jets lost tonight
3) I dont hate him, and you probably know that by now but are choosing instead to try and score cheap likes
4) I dont want him gone I am happy with his cap hit and term length

Embarrassing stuff.
