Namestnikov is playing with one hand right now I think, and Perfetti is flat out a non factor offensively. They need another threat offensively there. The top line is loaded up and v good, but all those who subscribe to "balanced offense" shouldn't be completely opposed at perhaps a swap for the second line.
I don't see a swap that would make both lines work tbh, were going have to fix this by trade yet again

Snake Tips sounds like a guy who has been playing and coaching for decades..
He may know more about tabletop hockey and online hockey apps than all of us put together. He may also be skilled at fishing a weighted lure at several knots behind the boat..What’s that called again?

I don't think Chevy has the appetite for a rental this year, can't keep giving away 1st round picks even if they a down the pecking order.

He's punching above his weight on the second line but Koal needs to get it in gear and start to show what the Jets think he is.
Names is clearly just a support /clean up guy. The line works when the other two are doing things offensively and he's doing his role.

But one of the wingers isn't, and Names isn't a threatening offensive player. So you're kind of left with a pretty underwhelming line. Ehlers hasn't been as prolific at 5v5 compared to his usual standards either, probably doesn't help given the circumstances of the other two fwds.

if he shows half as much as some posters here says he has then we wouldn't even be talking about him
Perfetti is a player I’m pretty conflicted on. He is an honest hardworking player that plays a smart game, but I’ve gradually been dropping my expectations on what type of player he will become. I just don’t think he plays with enough speed to be the PPG player I thought he’d be. He will be a good middle 6 winger. Probably in the 50 - 55 point range. Still good value.

Lots of good, and the ducks are beating good teams lately. But, we look a little disconnected at times. Not sure about namestikov anymore, he's a swiss army knife, but we need a solid 2C or Lowry is our 2C now. So we need a 3C. Names is slow, can't shoot and makes bad plays a little too often.

Either Perfetti moves to 2C or...

I'd rather have capobianco out there over Stanley, maybe we can trade for him.

Not the best effort by the home team, but they at least got a point. That should have been a penalty on Gibson for delay of game (unintentional or not). I give this game three "Beverly Hillbillies" out of five...

The Prediction Contest for the game against the Dead Things has been posted for your guesses. I have put together another GDT for our next game, but I do need some help. If you have some time, could you please sign up to create an upcoming GDT, my brain can only come up with so many ideas...

OK...I don't understand what just happened.

Just were pressuring. The Ducks were gassed. The Anaheim goalie knocks the net off the bearings. The Ducks are rewarded with a face off, and a whistle blow.

The net gets knocked off a second time, as Ehlers charges to the net. No whistle. Ducks gain possession, and have a 2 on 1 and score.

Am I missing something?
You mean perfetti I don’t think ehlers was even in ice for last play. I thought it was Lowry and Perfetti need to check it out again.
Yeah let's all blame a Vezina Trophy goalie. What is with your irrational hatred of Hellebuyck? You have wanted him gone for over 5 years.
Even the best goalie in the world has off games. He is the best because of a large sample not because of some random goalie he wasn’t the best.

Just admit that Hellebuyck had a bad game. That’s a game he lost for us.
No one player loses a game for a team. He wasn’t good, but, we had our chances Ehlers had a breakaway at end of game.

What you see here is the difference between a team like the Jets and a team like the Abominable Snowmen (Avs) or Veggie Cakes (Vegas). Those teams set up shop on the hapless Jets when they want to score and you can see total domination and you know its a matter of time before they score at will and always win the games. Jets on the other hand are always the team that you know is gonna cave for the easy goal, even by the worst in the league...

Unfortunately, by the end of this year its going to be games like this and the last one against the Avs that put this team in 4th or maybe even 5th place in the division. If they make the playoffs at all, they'll squeak in to the playoffs and the AVs will take care of them in 4. They have a good system but weak players who can't get it done under pressure. You need to spend lots of $$$$$$$$$ AND be in a favorable market to win in this league now.
The same Avs losing 4-2 to the powerhouse Sabres.

I’m all for realism and skepticism, but this take is wild lol.

Both Heinola and Perfetti, two of HFs overhyped youngins have been complete non factors offensively.
What does it say that Stanley is showing more offense than Heinola, which is supposed to he Heinola's forte. Sad.

the person who laughed at the idea of including perfetti in a cozens trade because both perfetti and names have "way more points" still around? cozens now 3 back of perfetti and passed names...
Cozens is in a Buffalo funk and he appears to breaking out of it a bit. If you put him on the 2nd line with Ehlers with 2nd PP useage on the Jets I’m betting on a 70-80 point big and fast #2 center.
