Sorry for the necro post, but does anyone know if/when the actual Authentic Pro jerseys become available in customized form, i.e. with original lettering and nameplates?

Blank jerseys are ugly, and I usually only buy specific players' jerseys.

Jersey quality/tiers got a bit more convoluted when the NHL moved to fanatics. Are you referring to the “Authentic” or the “On Ice” jersey (with the latter being the new players’ jersey)?

One other note: the On Ice jersey come with heat pressed patches and numbers and are no longer stitched… it’s dumb, I know.

Well, the "Authentic Pro" jersey is, allegedly, 1:1 the same version the players get to wear on the ice. So I am referring to these "Authentic Pro" jerseys.

There are rumors that the NHL wants to go back to white jerseys at home in the next CBA.

I'm not sure the "authentic" jerseys the NHL markets are the same version the players wear on the ice. There was a lawsuit a few years ago against Adidas (later dismissed) alleging the Adidas authentic jerseys were not the same as player-worn jerseys. The cut and material were different and the jerseys sold to the public were made in Indonesia, whereas the player-worn jerseys are made in Canada (MIC). I think the jerseys have to have a "MIC" label on them for them to be the real authentic player jerseys. Maybe Fanatics made jerseys are different, but I doubt it because the MIC jerseys are much more expensive (like $450 or something like that).

They are from the Canadian manufacturer. And yes, they are that expensive.

Hard disagree, coloured jerseys should always be the primary ones. Don't understand the American sports fan's infatuation with boring whites.
White is home. That's the way it should be.

Disregarding traditions, as a fan attending the game, I want to see the other team's colored jersey. I get to see my own team's jersey all the time. If you're apt to get bored of your own team, it's going to get boring regardless of whether it's white or orange.

White might be boring, but I'd rather see my team in the white jersey and get to see the other team's colorful one.

Should be first half home games are dark jerseys, then second half white. Then playoffs the higher seed chooses.

With colored jerseys being the home jerseys, then it's easier to flood the arena with the colored jerseys. That gives a visually home ice feel or advantage. Also, whenever the Ducks pull one of those retro/commemorative jerseys, it is usually the colored version. I'd rather have the team sport those occasions at home for the fans.

With American football, the home team designates what jersey they want to wear, the primary or white ones. Some teams would prefer white jerseys at home as a tactical advantage if they play outdoors. For example, Florida teams would prefer the white jerseys during August through November to keep cooler and let the opponents get hotter with colored jerseys. Then the cooler months, the Florida teams go with their primary colors.

I'd like to see road teams wear darks once per season. So all the east teams wear dark when they play here. When a team visits more than once (conference), the home team chooses which game the road team plays in dark jerseys. Or swap in playoffs... white home regular season, white away in playoffs so you can have the whole arena in your colors (in theory)

I think this also opens up the possibility of seeing both teams in colored jerseys. If a team is bringing their colored jerseys on the road with them, we could see the Ducks' orange against Dallas' green or Tampa's blue. That might be fun.

Like the NFL's color rush series. That happened for like two or three seasons. Haven't seen it since. But I am liking the ability to wear completely different colors now b/c they aren't beholden to use only one helmet for the whole season for safety precautions. Thank goodness the NCAA have been testing using different helmets for years now. Love the Bucs' creamsicle color and Bucco Bruce!
