If you were to move him, move him now while he does not have movement protection.

PLD himself is a full NMC regardless of if his contract says that or not. He has shown that if he doesn't want to play for your team he is totally willing to dog it based on his ending in Columbus. No GM is going to trade for him unless they have a conversation with him and he approves a trade saying he's happy to play for that team.

Not sure if Edmonton would give Campbell of him. That's how bad he is now.
Why would any team aquire him unless they were dumping a worse deal? PLD has a full NMC that kicks in next season so clock is ticketing to fix this issue, but I do not see how without it costing LA significantly

I'll give you Brendan Gallagher (last he was good was with Danault) and Colorado's 2nd this year.
Done!!

I think it is far too early to give up on him, but at least his market was pretty much set in his recent trade.

Frankly, when the NMC kicks in is irrelevant given that he's already basically forced his way off of two teams. No team is going to want to acquire him unless he wants to be there.

I doubt LA is all that interested in moving Dubois any time soon. They got him to be a Kopitar replacement. It was a bad bet as Dubois hasn't been average defensively since he played for Torts (regardless of the quality of team/teammates) and Kopitar is still strong defensively, but Dubois also isn't ever going to look good if he's not getting prime PP minutes.

I don't think his perceived value around the league has fallen as much as people here think (even if LA overpaid for him in the first place), but I don't think there's a team that will pay anywhere close to what LA would want in a trade, to say nothing of somewhere Dubois would want to play.

Not even worth discussing. They got the guy they wanted, can’t get the yips after 40 games. Have to ride this one out, it’ll turn a corner guaranteed. Maybe not exceed the value of his contract, but it’s not worth discussing when the entire hockey world is down on him.

Did this not just happen in LA?

LA won't get much of anything trying to move him now. Let's see if his second season brings him back to a 60 point pace. He'll be more in line with his contract if so.

Value of Dubois….,

I thought the value has been established in the summer;

1) one blue pick prospect ( former 1 st rounder just about to break out and become a star ( Vilardi)
2) former late 1 st rounder/ fast / forechecking forward for 4 th liner ( Kupari)
3) compete veteran forward / 3 rd line forward that can move up the line-up a ( Iffallo)
4 ) early 2 nd pick (top 45 O.A. pick)

I can see Montreal offering a first and Allen, or something along those lines, just because PLD has the correct last name to fit in with the organization,

If his last name was Douglas Montreal would have zero interest

He chose L.A. instead of centering the team here
He can go f*** himself right off

Montreal can't resist when the players last name is Dubois

All reasoning, stats, and logic goes out the window

That French last name is more important

Just look at what they gave up for Drouin

That's a pretty dumb post if I ever Read one
I'm no Bergevin fan (I hate his guts in facts) but there's a logic behind the Trade: Drouin was Seen has a potentially superstar talent Who could be a center (we needed that badly, shit, we still need that) and Sergatchev was an unknown quantity.
I was against the Trade but at least there's a reason behind it all

Just buy him out. It's really not that bad. Just a long time lol. He's under 26, so the buyout is 1/3. Aside from a few years, that's basically 1 million/year for eternity....

How good would the Kings be if they didn't make that stupid trade? GM'S fall in love these big "power forward" types. His value should be negative. Some dumb ass organization will still think they can coach him up.

So what's his value? Way more than it should be.
