I think it's much less likely that he gets traded than that Barrie does, but for a piece like Drouin I'd imagine he'd be on the table should Dutchy and Landy both get moved for dmen.

Im just surprised. I only catch Blues/Avs games. I always thought EJ was still a solid guy. Figured it would be too hard to replace him.

I would do Severson + a 2nd for sure. I'd even do Severson, 2nd and 3rd. Don't think we can afford to do Sev and a 1st though unless it's a future 1st. We're picking too high this year. I guess if we don't end up with a top 5 pick I'd do Severson and NJ's 1st for Drouin and Tampa's 1st though. Could throw in a 3rd atop sweeten the deal.

Another idea would be something like Severson for Drouin and Callahan as a cap dump. If Yzerman would accept a package around Severson for Drouin I think Shero should definitely do whatever he can to make it happen.

These kinds of deals would surely get Yzerman listening if he's really backed into trading Drouin.

Severson is a good young RHD with many RFA years ahead. Getting a shot to dump Callahan at the same time would be very enticing as well.

I think Jake Dotchin has reduced our need of a RHD a lot. He has allowed us to move Strålman to 2nd pairing and have more depth in our D. I think we are fine on the right side now but on the left we have no one after Hedman.

Drouin isn't a prospect, and if I'm the Lightning, I want better than Barrie for Drouin (though I would have said the same of Shattenkirk, I suppose).

What? Drouin not proven? He made Boyle and Filpula look like allstars and helped Yzerman with his cap. Drouin is traded in a 1 for 1 or lightnings adda to Drouin. Barrie is not what they need, they need a elc d-man... like Hanefin...
