The annoying thing is we could easily be up 3-0 in this series. Outplayed them game 1 and 3 and game to could have gone either way in OT.

At this point though just put us out of our misery. Load the shotgun and take us out back
Good teams take advantage, not so good teams don't..right now we are the latter. When the chips were down they never executed..2 OT losses and another 1 goal loss.

The game is on late enough that I won't have anything better to do anyway. Otherwise probably not.

Yeah what Archie did cost us the game no doubt but one stupid play doesn't define him as a player imo. I still like him and would like to see him back next season.

Is there any point in making a gdt?

Maybe just a choking pamphlet...

This game will actually tell us more about this team than than any of the others, including the last melt down. Really hoping if they do go down, they go down fighting, instead of quietly into the night. McDavid said the right thing last night. Have to focus on ONE game and one game only. Although that may be partially right. With this team, they need to focus on ONE shift at a time, and nothing else. I have faith they will win this game.

I'll be taking my kids to practice today while the game is on, I'll probably have my wife tell me the score when I get home, unless we win I won't even bother to watch this game.

Too young to throw him under the bus and kill his confidence.

He knows it but he's not going to be honest and create a media storm about it. Working as a team, even the coach has to be careful about what he says to the media. They still got a game left.. so it's probably not the time to rip into Bear (who wouldn't in that situation?). It's understandable what Tippett is doing and saying. The guy is just trying to protect a young player who is still prone to making bad plays.

Yep.

And that all makes sense and I like Bear and have excused a lot of his mistakes and flubs because he's a younger D man still learning, but last night really did stand out to me and perhaps it is okay to also not play him so much and let him sit for someone else.

Of course, at this point you could argue none of that matters, so...eh.

I think we’re done tonight boys and girls.

They will smoke us tonight. The boys look and sound totally defeated and rightfully so after that debacle last night. Not much time to gather themselves either with this horrid back to back.

Absolutely. A new day brings new hope, slim
as it may be. Off-season will be long enough without hockey, I’m going to continue with this years journey till it’s officially over. Win one, and it puts the seed of doubt in the opponent. Gonna be tough, and realistically next to impossible, but I’ll still be cheering the boys on.

I think this as well. They had no time in between games and probably slept like shit thinking about the result. I thought that whoever won Sunday’s game would have the momentum and energy to win Monday’s game due to the back to back and the losing team not having time to prepare.

I know there’s Bear haters/supporters on here but he can’t be on the top pairing during the playoffs. I thought our D was excellent in games 1-2 with everyone on the correct pairing. I have no idea why Tippet swapped Barrie/Bear. Barrie might not be good defensively but he has years of top pairing experience in the playoffs and how to handle pressure situations. Bear is still a sophomore and shouldn’t be forced into those situations yet.

I dont even want to watch this game. Fully expecting a blowout.

Just record it and watch on 2x speed. It works great when you are expecting a loss. You can fast forward PKs as well, or 4th line shifts. Also the added benefit of it taking 45 minutes of your day, rather than almost 3 hours. It's how I watch the vast majority of games. Totally superior watching experience

Bear has proven he plays better when pushed down the lineup. Him playing on the top pairing and getting eaten alive is on the coach. I'm sure if Russell was healthy, he'd be in there. Just a bit of a shoutout to 4K, I thought he's been looking better and better as the series goes on.

100% take on this. I've said before, Tippett needs to give the kid a break.
