There's one key to turning the series around for us to win 4 in a row.

A Major Winnipeg Jet has to go down to injury.

If you really analyze the LA comeback vs the Sharks, or the Flyers comeback vs the Bruins...

David Krejci broke his collarbone on a hit in game 4 of the Flyers-Bruins series and never returned. A key piece gone for Boston.

Marc-Edouard Vlasic got concussed by a Stoll hit midway through game 5 of the LA-SJ series. SJ never recovered.

If the Jets don't lose a key piece to injury, it's over.

They already had a key piece out with an injury for 2 games but he came and sewer’d us tonight so we had that chance.

Oilers need to win with out blowing both their own feet off in every game.

The Flames figured it out faster in the play-ins last year

Nuck's fan here.

Watched the game live when the Oil were up 4-1. Honestly thought McDavid and Drai had found their mojo and were going to make a series out of this...

Went to pick up the gf from a BBQ and watched the rest of the game on PVR...it was like watching 2 different games with 2 different Oilers coaches and systems... I was so focused on just watching...was their an Oiler time-out?

I don't have a horse in this series, I just want whoever wins it to put TO on their asses. I guess if Keys win it means they will be rested.

You folk deserve better than this. I've had so many great laughs from posters who have been suffering alongside me for years, many for much longer (on this website at least). This place can somehow be h*ll and a sanctuary during times like these

Some posters thrive in this shit.

Tippett can’t coach in the playoffs

Tippett didn't take a timeout. He said the reason why he didn't use it after the 4-3 goal was because the next stoppage was going to be a TV timeout. Seriously. The next stoppage ended up being Winnipeg's fourth goal.

The Oilers are paying him $2.75M/season, and he can't do something the average fan would have done. McLellan did the same shit four years ago in the collapse against the Ducks.

I found footage of Tippett and Archibald after this season (hopefully):

Archibald is an idiot, sure, but what sort of trade are they going to make to move on from him? This team has enough issues without Holland pulling a Benning (Gaudette trade)

He's not irreplaceable. It's not even like he produced offense this year aside from the EN goals he scored.

If he's going to be a liability at key moments in important games, and potentially a liability in the locker room too, you have to move on from him.

Moving Archibald for another 4th liner is a really low priority. What he did was idiotic but it’s not like it was a 1 goal game. They need to focus on replacing Nuge, adding another top 6 forward, replacing Klefbom (again, if he’s not going to be back), finding a legitimate starter and bringing in more depth.

Ideally Holland is also preparing to interview another coach (or f*** it, just bringing up Woodcroft a year earlier than planned). Trading a 4th liner for another 4th liner that might do stupid shit that loses them a game here or there should not be a priority

I wouldn't put it #1 on the priority list, no. But if there's even a chance there is some residual resentment from any of the core players on this team towards what he did, Holland has to act.

I can't get past that Archibald penalty. I'm tired and off to bed in a second, but I can't recall the last time I saw a player blatantly target someone's knees like that. He looked like a Hanson brother the way he skated across the rink and went low.

Seriously. This is the type of selfish garbage that a dirty player like Sean Avery would've pulled. It was totally unexpected coming from Archibald (who had no history of dirty play) and it taints the rest of his career now.

It looked like he changed targets because he saw Stanley the bottom pairing behemoth brace for a higher hit. Archibald knew that wouldn’t end well for him (it’d be about head level for Archibald) so he made the adjustment. Smart hitter, but didn’t think of the consequences...

I'm not sure I'd give him the benefit of the doubt. It looked premeditated the whole way.
