While I don't think the offense will continue he's looking like a good bottom pairing Dman that this team needs. Having reliable 3rd pairing guys will help keep the top guys from being overused.

He wasn’t even on my radar at any capacity until recently. So at least now he is, that’s already a big step.

He has looked better than I was expecting. Personally, I had all but written him off. I like that he's kept his game simple and focused on boxing out players in front of the net and making clean passes out of the defensive zone. Seems like he could be a solid bottom pair defenseman.
He’s right handed too. Soon, he will pass vaaks on the depth chart if he keeps it up. I need a 20 game sample for that at least though.

This entire time he was with the Gulls I thought he was a puck-moving guy like Fowler.

Happy for him succeeding so far, should hopefully only get better.

I have to a admit I was wrong on him. I didn't see a future with him after watching him several times in the AHL but he has sure morphed into an asset to the NHL team since he was called up. If he keeps up this level of play, he fills a huge hole for the Ducks on the right side.

Me too. At first I questioned his decision making. I still haven’t made up my mind on him.

Guys serious question, we were all impressed last season with lindstrom too, I don’t know enough via the X and Os… Is helleson showing a lot more than lindstrom did when we first got him? The reason I ask, is we didn’t even qualify lindstrom after a pto. Could helleson be lindstrom 2.0 or is he clearly better?

The good side of Lindstom last year and what we all liked, is that you didn’t really notice him on a terrible team. He wasn’t making great plays, but he wasn’t making bad plays either on a bad team. Helleson is actively making good plays and is very noticeable in good ways.
