It's so funny we're doing Zegras again and it's the exact same fanbase saying the exact same things
Your post is the same level as your smiley iconsI dont get why McTavish has this perceived value. pass first 40-50 point wing who can sometimes play C, whos overpaid.
getting a 1st for him would be robbery.

I mean he is pretty stupidJust called him stupid. withouth calling him stupid lol
I mean….. it seems just about every single Ducks fan was correct in their assessment of Zegras as shown this season. It's so funny we're doing Zegras again and it's the exact same fanbase saying the exact same things
Ya most duck fans loved(still love) Zegras, and thought hed do well in a new situation. Its obvious the skill/talent was there. Are they though? I remember Ducks fans thinking Zegras had talent but wasn’t playing to his potential in Anaheim. McTavish just seems to be too slow and not well-rounded enough to be much of anything anywhere.
Come on manWould Ducks fans be interested in McTavish for Jordan Spence?
I think they will look at both options.... The goal is prob package McTavish with other assets to get a bigger fish... but who knows if that option is realistically available.Ottawa will be in on him hard, I'd suspect.
Wonder what approach Anaheim will take. Are they going to use him as a piece to land a "bigger" fish (Parayko, Larkin), or will they try to get a younger guy or two who fits the age of their team, is cheaper but can produce similarly to how McTavish does now, and allows them to utilize the cap space elsewhere.
I would bet that Ottawa would do something around Greig.
Young center starts out well but maybe not as well as you might remember. Young center stagnates. Rumors come out about young player potentially being available. Fans of team say there's no way team would ever trade player, and if they do it would be as a piece in a package for a better player. Coach moves young center to wing and down the lineup, even scratching them in some important games. Fans criticize coach for not knowing what their doing. More reporting comes out that player and team might be ready to move on.Are they though? I remember Ducks fans thinking Zegras had talent but wasn’t playing to his potential in Anaheim. Come on nothing, Spence is a solid 2nd pair D.Come on man
No, I think mctavish will go for more value than Jordan spence.Come on nothing, Spence is a solid 2nd pair D.
I don’t think last summer anyone was saying no chance Zegras would be traded and Ducks fans have talked about McT getting traded since Christmas lol..Young center starts out well but maybe not as well as you might remember. I don't think it would be controversial to say that despite the production differences, the league probably thinks higher of mctavish than zegras.Zegras had multiple 60 point seasons under his belt. McTavish doesn't have that. Also, is McTavish even a center at the NHL level? Not sure they're entirely comparable.

agreed.... which is beyond dumb seeing both guys develop and play in the NHL.I don't think it would be controversial to say that despite the production differences, the league probably thinks higher of mctavish than zegras.
I'm not saying that's right, but I highly suspect it's the case.

I don't disagree with these, but if Verbeek already made one bad/underwhelming deal on a young player the league didn't value as highly as fans hoped, why all of the sudden would he not do it again?I don’t think last summer anyone was saying no chance Zegras would be traded and Ducks fans have talked about McT getting traded since Christmas lol..
McTavish for Lambert+? I feel like Lambert would thrive under Quenneville. He loves his puck carriers.“…little bit of concern with his skating ability, his speed or lack thereof, he's not always the most aware on the ice"
Sounds like a Winnipeg Jet to me
Like @Static said, i wont be shocked if the league has more faith/value on a guy like McTavish. They would be wrong, zegras was the guy to bet on for sure.... at least in terms of Ceiling.I don't disagree with these, but if Verbeek already made one bad/underwhelming deal on a young player the league didn't value as highly as fans hoped, why all of the sudden would he not do it again?
