That's pretty impressive actually, considering the apparent inability of the Oiler's top guys to score on the EN.

Draisaitl and McDavid's numbers weren't anything spectacular in rounds 3 and 4 last year though. They definitely weren't "video game numbers". Skinner's were though. That's why some of us think he is good enough to take us to the cup. It was the forwards that let the team down late in the playoffs last season, not Skinner. If our offence shows up in games 1, 2 or 7 we are Stanley Cup champions.

Either way the constant attacks on Skinner are so tiring. When he plays bad his stats are posted ad nauseam. When he has great stats he gets attacked because he didn't look good enough (like he could ever look good enough to some of these posters). He's been putting up great numbers for 6 weeks now and people still refuse to give him any credit. Normal fans would just enjoy it.

How about us dominating game 3 and Skinner gives the puck away behind the net leading us to lose. If we grab game 3 we have a chance. There is a reason that nobody comes back from 3-0 down.

Interesting graphic for a number of reasons. 1) it Illustrates what kind of a money player Anderson was. Is this including playoffs? Because Andy was money in playoffs as well.

I tried looking a while back and I couldn't find any example of a team winning a playoff series where they were held to 1 goal or less in 3 separate games. You just can't win when your offence doesn't show up in 3 games. People blaming Skinner (who had better numbers than Bob) are out of their minds.

Just going by the eye test I’d guess the oilers had at least twice as many high danger scoring chances for than they did against. Anyone have the final tally?

It was 12 to 6 for Edmonton.

Total chances were 30 to 18 for Edmonton.

My statement of losing more then winning in 1 goal games was true until tonight with not my fault in Skinner in net. He is now 6 wins 6 Loses in 1 goal games this year.
Of these 12 one goal games he has 7 games where he has blown the leads in 3rd period, the team could only win 2 of those games.

1 goal game wins
Philly 4-3 OT
Calgary 4-2 but empty netter 5 seconds left
Islanders 4-3OT 3rd period blown lead, 850 save %
Tampa 2-1 gave up 20 shots
Boston 3-2 first 3-2 win on the season
Tonight Ducks 3-2 blew a 2-0 lead Drai bailed them out.

That part is par for the course. Anderson had become a smarmy barfly by then and really he was no angel any of the time. Could tell some stories. I like Anderson, but as a person he had a lot of problems.
