I feel pretty assured we will get a good player at 5 or 6. It’s very obvious who those players are at this point and it feels like there isn’t a bad pick in the lot. What is more interesting is how we make the two seconds pay:

Misa puzzles me. I see very good hands, excellent reach and a guy who reads plays and almost always rotates to the right spots. However, I see an average skater who for all his sense, plays on the perimeter occasionally. Maybe I am crazy? (Okay, we know I am crazy.) I watch his clips and I don't entirely see how he produces as he does. But, man does he produce. Maybe he has a touch of Mario or Pete Sampras' everything looks too easy to him?

Hey guys. Just curious if you get 1 Tankathon says you are taking Misa over Schaeffer. Is that anywhere near reality?
I’m the closest thing to Don Sweeney here except I’m beloved ~ I swap picks with a team immediately or close in back of me to recover picks

However if stick and pick I take the defenseman if he’s that good ~ Lindholm 31 and McAvoy 27 who have been injured

You are crazy but in a good way

Great insight and analogy

I haven’t watched him but good to know what to look for

I would do cartwheels if they ended up with Romano and Czata there.

However, I think they might go Medvedev as there goaltender.

No, see him as a top line RW. I could see them going Frondell, Hagens or Desnoyers at 4 or 5 over him and that would be a smart play probably, but if it's him vs O'Brien, McQueen and whomever over Martone at 6 I wouldn't be happy
I’d be willing bet that O’Brien ends up ahead of Martone on many if not most final lists. So if Sweeney then takes Martone, would that be considered a reach?

As I look at this jersey in the picture here with all the ads, I suggest anyone who owns NHL jersey's today, that they embrace them and care for them, because I am sure that Betteman and the owners, will look further into selling more ads to cover these great jerseys that we all grew up with.

That’s been going on for decades. NHL teams make more money than some of those European teams. They do the jersey swap every two years. That’s their money maker right there.

The ADHD in me like the jerseys. The more chaotic vibrant and disorganized the better. But agree don’t mess with history.

I have a bit of an OHL bias as that's the main and generally only junior league I watch but if we landed Martone in the first and those two in the second I'd be ecstatic. I really like Medvedev too and if we took a C in R1 then taking two more in R2 seems excessive although I'm fine with it if they feel they're the BPA.

Slips to what? He won’t go top 5 as far as I can tell. Central scouting has him at 6th and that’s just amongst North American skaters. Could slip to 8. Is he better than frondell, obrien and Desnoyers?

How's CS track record been since say the last 15 years on NA Skaters?

I honestly don’t know. They do release them too early though. They release them for the teams not us. It’s so they know who to scout down the stretch. Final scouting results should come out a week before the nhl draft. But again it’s not for us.

Not that teams would quantify it in terms of percentage points, but if there’s a 5% difference in your projection of player, given where the Bruins are I take the center and give the points. More than that gets weird on either side not to just make the obvious choice.

Because the Bruins SCREAM we know how to project that 5% differential in
draft prospects...lol.
