Wow...ST-Louis....have you stopped laughing?

Pittsburgh valued protecting crosby and Malkin more than the 31st pick and I can respect that. Especially wiTh them both getting a bit older
The pens know team will try to cheap shot their stars.
They won a cup with no defense

thats why I love this board... scouts spend hundreds of hours watching prospects for a living and we sit on our couch thinking we know better.

Except a lot of posters here have followed the 2017 draft eligible prospects since last year, you'd know that if you were more involved within the prospect community on HF.

There's a lot of ******** on here but once you sift through the crap you'll find that there's actually quite a few people here that are extremely knowledgeable when it comes to prospects.

The poster right below me is a great example.

as a reference, next year's group I will have followed them since they were 15 because of the youth olympics (typically I'd only follow the Q guys from 15 on). But what do we know.

I feel like we pick Riley Sheehan...

My only viewings of Poehling we're from the U18's and Hlinka. He had a strong net-front presence, he distributed the puck well, he was defensively solid and he hustled. Good traits to have in a player.

Button's comparable for him is Jordan Staal

Here's to hoping we can at least make some intriguing picks or moves tomorrow. 4 picks in first two rounds for tomorrow.

Potential 1st line, 30+ goal winger or probable 3rd line center? You know the way we like it. I won't be able to follow the draft live tomorrow but if I find out we pass on Ikonen I might lose it

It's a bit funny tho. The NHL CSS #1 Europe player (Kostin) was selected #31 .

Behind Heiskanen, Pettersson, Andersson, Necas, Liljegren, Vesalainen, Vaakanainen, Brännstrom and Chytil. #1 went #10.
