Talbot isn't going to be Hanks replacement. It's not worth hanging onto him if he's going to walk.

I still think Talbot will be traded. Shouldn't be a problem. Might not get what he could have earlier. The 1st that was offered could have come with conditions, aka wanting another roster player along with Talbot.

Isn't this a contradiction? If we are able to sign someone for less, who can do the same job, why in the world would anyone give us a good draft pick for Talbot?

Other teams can sign whoever too. They can also trade for whoever too.

I don't understand this mindset of "Well if we don't have [insert player currently on Rangers' roster], then who could ever possibly fill that role ever again??!?!?" It's so strange to me, as if there are zero other players in the world. If Talbot is traded for whatever, I can assure you there will be another backup signed in his place.

I don't think the Rangers have a choice, they need more picks in this draft.

The system is garbage right now and this is as good a draft as any to refuel inexpensively.

Playing Talbot for maybe 20 games has a lot less value than his potential return imo.

"Bruins hockey" having a toffness bias isn't necessarily bad, even if it's easy to make fun of. Looking forward to watching their weird rebuild

People need to realize that Slats botched this. Ottawa got 21 for a worse asset than Talbot. If we don't get 16, we've screwed up.
