any discussions involving trading lias andersson or kevin hayes is a non starter for me. same with brady skjei.

those guys are either already sold nhl players or will be soon.

draft wahlstrom, merkley and alexeyev in round 1 and profit.

Why are people so sure Wahlstrom gets to 9???

whatever happens to Mittelstadt, I'm perfectly happy with Lias. I can't stand that awkward boyish look of Mittelstadt's face. He can end up a 90 pts player in the league, I still won't care.

Let's get Wahlstrom with out pick. Or Dobson, or Hughes, or Bouchard. That's my order.

New GM, New Coach and two 1ST rounders for the Isles. I bet they would be interested.

i second that the Isles might be interested. can land their goalie and D-man for the price of 2 firsts and then some, for sure. that team should be trying to win now, especially if JT returns, which is likely

Food for thought on this early morning before the draft....

What if the player they are thinking will comfortably still be there at No. 9 is Ty Smith?

Discuss

Also, I'd be pretty upset if they took Tkachuk when a potentially sliding Zadina and/or Boqvist could be there. Or even Wahlstrom for that matter....
if tkachuk is available at 9 you absolutely take him

What are the current mocks looking like?

Zadina third or fourth, Tkachuk fifth, Dobson or Bouchard going lower.

Keep in mind that most of these seems to change every 3 days to keep people clicking.

Wahlstrom to us at 9 on more than few. Which is perfectly fine with me. I have him 6th and I think the Rangers have him at that spot as well.

If that's true then you might have all the D men sitting there at 6-9. That's a crazy spot for those teams because this D class has 3 or 4 first pair D men.

want exactly zero part of tkachuk. zero.

still believe the prime targets are:

1. ZADINA. if they can swing a deal, thats the guy they want. he's the only consensus top 3 forward that they have any chance at.

2. if not 1, then its WAHLSTROM. not a bad consolation prize.

these are the 2 realistic targets they have zeroed in on. both impact forwards and imo, top 5 picks in this draft.

with all the talented forwards in the top 15, i don t believe they have ANY defenseman rated higher than the forwards at 9 and so i would be shocked if the first pick were a dman.
I want both of these guys before Tkachuk, but if they're both gone and Tkachuk is left, I'm still quite content to grab him.

hoping for:

Zuc + NJD 2nd for 13OA. Being slightly generous w/2nd pick which gives Stars something for home crowd at draft event they sponsor.

something around Namest. + 13OA to AZ for 5OA
obvious

also Spooner + NYR 2019 2nd + rfa rights to Tambellini
for
Buf's 2nd [32OA]
Sabes need useful bodies, they got basic 2nd value a year delayed for added compensation now.
32OA we can use or bundle to help move up

Bern---no one's interested in Adam Tambellini's RFA rights.
