Kaliyev scores his second. No clue how this one is going to be scored. Defensemen had a terrible blunder. The turnover limitation and defense in this game has been atrocious.

All the top forwards were really good. Defensemen in this game were awful. Warren the best of the bunch. The two starting goalies were very good, Knight and Rowe. The two back ups, Wolf and Saville, were not.

"Говорят, Америка, Канада – это круто. Но сейчас я не хочу туда ехать". Интервью нового русского суперталанта

Interview with Podkolzin. Said he won't come to the NHL until he is ready and won't play in juniors or the minors. Wants to mature as a man and come over with his family. He said he doesn't know English well. Currently has a 3-year deal with SKA. That might hurt his stock a bit.

But if you read the article, he seems like a very logical and humble kid. Mentioned that his favorite players are Kuznetsov and Ovechkin and that he'd rather go a year without sex than a year without hockey.

My favorite quote was this....

Date or training?

- Training. I have a girlfriend. And this does not bother me.

Draft that kid. Let his stock drop a bit for playing in the KHL for at least 2 years after being drafted. Fine by me!

1 (8) LW: Peyton Krebs (CAN) (5'9"/180lbs., Shot: Left, Kootenay/WHL)

2019 NHL Mock Draft - NHL - DraftSite.com

1 (6) C: Kirby Dach (CAN) (6'3"/198lbs., Shot: Right, Saskatoon/WHL)
2 (37) RW: Sasha Mutala (CAN) (6'1"/198lbs., Shot: Right, Tri City/WHL)
2 (61) G: Taylor Gauthier (CAN) (6'1"/189lbs., Catches: Right, Prince George/WHL)
3 (68) LW: Yegor Spiridonov (RUS) (6'1"/191lbs., Shot: Right, Stalnye Lisy/MHL)
5 (130) G: Roman Basran (CAN) (6'1"/171lbs., Catches: Left, Kelowna/WHL)
6 (161) RW: Yannik Valenti (GER) (5'8"/174lbs., Shot: Right, Vancouver/WHL)
7 (192) C: Carl Sjoberg (SWE) (6'1"/182lbs., Shot: Left, Orebro J20/SuperElit)

Not a bad "start of the season" full mock. Dach is as solid as any pick at No. 6 and Mutala in the 2nd round is a nice pickup. I don't like taking keepers early (let alone taking two in one draft), but Gauthier was solid at the Hlinka. Keeping tabs on him going forward. Love the Spiridonov pick, in the 3rd no less!! He's a big, strong skater and can score and set up plays. He's on an incredible line with Sheshin and Dorofeyev in the MHL. All of them seem like they could turn into superstars. Don't know much on the rest, although, Valenti looks intriguing. He destroyed the German junior league last season. Let's see what he does over in the WHL.

Thoughts?

I will lose my mind if the Rangers take a goalie in the 2nd round again. That is all.

1 (8) LW: Peyton Krebs (CAN) (5'9"/180lbs., Shot: Left, Kootenay/WHL)

Thoughts?

Listen, I ain't gonna get f***ed like Krebs, understand? Krebs is 70 years old, and the f***in' guy's gonna die in prison. I don't need that. So I'm warning everybody, EVERYBODY. It could be my son, it could be anybody. Krebs got 20 years just for saying "hello" to some f*** who was sneaking behind his back selling junk. I don't need that. Ain't gonna happen to me, you understand?

If we have three firsts again, I would't be against taking Knight. He'll be a very good starter in the NHL. Surest thing goalie prospect since Vasilevskiy. When we are taking guys like Lundkvist or Miller in the first, taking a goalie in the first doesn't seem so bad.

Honestly, and I hate taking goalies early, but Knight looks extremely promising. I wouldn't be opposed, either.

Amazing how you still manage to take a shot at Lundqvist and Miller, despite them having nothing to do with anything. I guess that's their punishment for not being high in your rankings.

Take a look at the 2012 draft, and tell me at least 15 teams picking before the Lightning in that first round are not regretting they had that mindset.

Sure, you could use Vasilevsky as an example. But you could also use Brent Krahn as an example. Or Malcolm Subban. Or Tom McCollum. Or Jack Campbell. Or Mark Visentin. Or Riku Helenius.
