Moritz Seider is also flying extremely under the radar.

He's a guy I can see sneaking in anywhere from fourth to just outside the top 10.

The challenge this year isn't really a lack of options, it's more a question of who do you bump if you place someone in the top 10?

There's a lot of talent in this draft IMO. Packaging the WPG first to get back in the top15 would be nice

If we end up at 7, I’d be thrilled with opportunity to get Turcotte then trade up for Dorofeyev.

If I’m Gorton I’m moving heaven and earth to make sure I get one of Dach/Cozens

I feel like those guys are EXTREMELY strong players for the 3/4 spot, better than usual. I’d take Dach/Cozens over Kotkaniemi/Tkachuk for example ALLLL day, and it’s not even remotely close.

The shitty part about how good this draft seems is that it looks like everyone in the lottery is going to be getting a really good player, so they kinda cancel each other out. Gotta get creative and try to grab several of these kids if we don't luck out and win the lottery.

What are we packaging it with to get into the top 15? Best case scenario I don't see the Winnipeg pick being better than 22/23ish??? and that's if they don't win the division and lose in round 1 or 2.
I can't even see that happening if lets say we get Tampa's pick at 31. Would a team at say 14 trade with us for 23/24th and 31st overall? of course if Dallas makes it to round 3 that changes a lot!

We are not getting 5. Best case scenario is to pick 7th and that's if a team doesn't jump us at the lottery like Carolina did last year as well as hoping Vancouver and Chicago don't shit the bed down the stretch. I foresee more loser points. We keep games to close for the most part.

It might cost a lot but IMO we're at the point where it's worth it to get the guy we want.

If we can trade back into the top15 and land Caufield, Kaliyev, Newhook, Krebs, York etc... It'd be worth WPG 1st, TB 1st/2nd, DAL 2nd

We need Quality..

I’m all about quality at this point as well since we’ve done good job stocking the prospect pool but only way we get back to top 15 is if we traded the Winnipeg and Dallas first (if we get it) and not even sure if that gets it done. I don’t think anyone is taking second rounders to give up a top 15 pick in this draft but hope I’m wrong,
Would a team trade let’s say 14th overall for 24th and 28th overall ?

I see a lot people with Cozens over Dach. I watched the Blades vs. Hurricanes game it was mightily clear that Dach is a superior talent. Cozens brings it every night but Dach’s raw ability is as high anyone in this draft. If he’s on the board 4-5 or later and we don’t package the world to move up, I’ll be seriously disappointed. I’d move Kreider for him in a second. He’s like a more agile Ryan Getzlaf.
