Same... my ideal first round would be Dobson(Wahlstrom)/Dellandrea/Berggren.
I don't think Dobson is there at 9 and I don't think Berggren is there at 26 or 28.

Doesn't Noel have some really good potential? 6 foot 5 210 pounds already holy ****. How's his skating? plus he's right handed if i believe.
And Dobson at 9 would be great wouldn't it? Considered many feel he could go 4 and a RHD.
From what i hear Berggen could even be a top 20 pick.
I know there are probably safer picks at 26 than Noel but if we came away with those three especially Dobson I would be happy.

Thing is if we don't grab a Dobson who has potential to be a number one dman at 9? unfortunately, 9 isn't pick 3 or 4 which is what it will take to grab a Hughes who I am assuming you feel has top pairing potential? I guess Boqvist has that potential 3-4 years down the line if all goes perfectly...talent and injury wiseI like Dobson at 9. I think he's a very good defensive prospect who will play for a long time. Like Bouchard, I'm not sure he's an obvious first pairing prospect, but he's at least a second pairing type.
I like Berggren, just probably not with a first. I love the energy, love the zip and drive. Not sure the offense is there. I'd be happier with him in the second.

You still have Berggren that low? may i ask why? Sorry if you've covered reason why.Dobson isn't a bad pick at all. He's about where I've had for a while (10). In terms of upside, I prefer Hughes and Boqvist over Dobson and Bouchard. So yeah, I'd go with Boqvist and the upside/increased risk.
I guess when I look at the Pronman draft, I see safe, high risk with a reward I'm not sold on, and a good, but not necessarily high-end player.
It's not bad, it's just a little underwhelming.
Essentially it's coming away with the 10th, 41st and 50-something players on my list at the 9th, 26th, and 28th spots.
This is similar to what Pronman said in his write up on Noel...Personally, I'm not a huge Noel fan --- particularly as a first round pick.
The short answer is that he's incredibly raw. He's made good strides with his skating, but I'm not really sold on the awareness or the actual attributes. I think he's a hell of a physical specimen, and that covers up for some elements that aren't nearly as developed as other kids. But as I say these things I find myself almost verbatim repeating what I said about Hugh Jessiman 15 years ago --- and that causes a weird allergic reaction in my body.
dobson is the better pick at 9 between him and bouchard. comes down to the ability to play defense and contribute offense as well. dobson shows more top pair shut down ability to me and he's the better skater. advantage noah.
i love boqvist more than both of those guys and if he's there at 9 (doubt it) and say wahlstrom isnt, then you take the swede. period. boqvist head and shoulders over noah and evan here.
between wahlstrom and boqvist its a toss up, but i lean wahlstrom there because of his ability to score goals and lots of em having said that, ending up with adam boqvist at 9 would be a very nice first pick.
This is similar to what Pronman said in his write up on Noel...
"Noel is a guy with a wide variance of opinions among people I’ve talked to due to a lot of potential but issues with his hockey IQ. Some teams have him top 15, others outside the first round. "
Not sure if it's been posted, but Peters has his mock up this morning as well.
Final 2018 NHL mock draft
He thinks it's likely the Rangers will move from their later picks, but if they stick where they are, he has them going:
9: Boqvist
26: Bokk
28: Dellandrea
Its funny. Yesterday the report is that Montreal is all aboard the Kotkaneimi train. Today news is the Habs had dinner with Tkachuk. So which is it?
Or...maybe in case they do swing a deal and want other options if they miss their first guy.
All this means they will probably draft someone entirely different!
Brian Boyle!I'm just not sure what the sum of the parts becomes. There's very few comparables for him.
As a hockey player, I just don't see anything special.
As a 6'5 hockey player, it's somewhat unique. At a player who could end up at 6'6 or even 6'8, it's downright crazy.
But how much of what he's been able to do is because he's just so different physically than anyone.
I just don't know if that is going to work against NHL defenseman. They're going to be bigger, they're going to be stronger.
I get where the fantasy comes from --- what if you have have 6'6 or 6'8, 240 pound winger who can pop in 25 or 30 goals? That's insane.
But what if you have a guy who just doesn't have the skills outside of the size and becomes more of anomaly and not an impact player?
The fantasy is fantastic and one of a kind. But the odds are very, very long.
Right now, the skating is improved but will not cut it, the awareness isn't there, the skills aren't clearly evident.
That's a lot of hoping when it comes to a first round pick.
Sometimes a kid only needs one amazing attribute to push them over the line. Noel could be that kid.
But I see a lot of Hugh Jessiman in him --- without the size, he's not a great hockey player.

Why all the overboard concern about Ryan Merk? Don’t you guys remember when you were 17 years old? You knew everything and nobody could tell you different. He’ll outgrow it.
