Prospect Info: Draft 2025 Habs you're on the clock

Any reason why? High motor, high skill, beyond the injury I don't really see what's not to like.

He just exists on the ice, dime a dozen WHL guy who will never be a difference maker. Gallagher minus half the skill when I watch him.

I think we must have watched different games of his, he was always a difference maker and implicated (and quite skilled) when I watched him
I'm pretty sour on most W guys in general, it's such an inflated league. Next year when MacKenna and the talent bolt for the NCAA, it will only get worse. 100pt guys are going to look like studs, but there is going to be such a weak talent pool , points will be so easy to get.

it'll be funny if they end up picking all 3 of the big boys with their first 3 picks, Prokhorov/Nestrasil/West

could honestly see them going with 2 of those guys if they go more with need, maybe trade 16/17 back (if u cant move up for someone like Mrtka or Martone) and pick them all up, Gard/Vansaghi
can be 2nd/3rd round picks too

I can’t remember a year where so many of the teams drafting top 10 were so willing to trade their pick.

What they end up negotiating in private is a whole other matter. However, it may be another indication of how little some GMs think of this draft class.

No question the picks are at a discount and probably under full value. If we had depth I would be moving 3rd liners for 1sts.

The strength and weakness of drafts is almost always over hyped both ways. The elite top end talent at the top maybe doesn’t include elite superstars in this draft; but there will be very good hockey players to be had.

If we end up picking at 16 and 17 we will add two very good prospects to our pipeline, don’t let others convince you otherwise because this is supposedly a “weak” draft.

Yeah this happens all the time... "next years draft is way better" ... the funny thing is that often in those "bad" drafts there are some real gems to be found later...

Obviously the top is what gets hyped.... and it is true that the top this year is a bit thin and suspect... just sayin' ;)

That’s insane. He has way more skill than Gallagher. For one, he’s a really good playmaker. Gallagher can barely make a tape-to-tape pass.

Gallagher was a stud in Vancouver , I was comparing him to his WHL career

His talent limitations were always present IMO. Some have been exacerbated because of injuries, but he’s always taken a half-second too long to make decisions with the puck on his stick. That’s less important in the WHL though.

Would you trade WiFi if it meant moving up from 17 to get center we want? Either Desnoyers or Martin. Whomever they like.
