Oh, chain restaurants here are so different from the US.

I actually like Burger King, KFC and McDonald's here but in the US, I always feel uneasy because everything is so greasy
What difference do you notice between Canadian & American fast food, if any?
The main thing I notice is that they get my order right in the US, and they mess up my order every single time in Canada & the customer service is awful  When it comes to the food I think America & Canada are similar aside from the fact Canada has way less selection of restaurants and smaller menu's, they taste much more similar to one another than fast food I've had overseas though. I prefer McDonalds in Canada because the burgers are juicier and the buns are greasy, in America they seem more dry & salty. But most other places I prefer the American variation. My biggest pet peeve is that Dr Pepper is basically non-existent in Canada. Rogers Arena serves it (thank God) but very few restaurants do. Dr Pepper seems very popular in America. Where you live do you drink your soda warm? I've heard many European countries don't put ice in their drinks, or even refrigerate their drinks sometimes.

I've heard that. I don't eat fast food (except Chick-Fil-A), but I heard they just use better ingredients at international fast food joints than they do in the US.

I can't vouch for Europe but I've been all over Asia & Latin America, and the fast food was absolute garbage in Asia & Latin America compared to North America. Literally threw fast food out when I was in Thailand, Subway was disgusting. The only American fast food I like in Asia was Pizza Hut, which seems more popular there than here, it's everywhere.

No I didn’t mean it that way. Bought the draft analyst program and love the write up.

I was just picking. You make such a list and you should expect pushback because not everybody is going to agree. I like Khushnutdinov too. What puts Greig over the top for me is his being younger--his energy and agitating style of game.

There are one or two Taco Bells in Japan. They're somewhat upscale - like a Shake Shack. I think they're kind of 'showcases'. Loss leaders.

Betting Buchnevich gets traded draft day for a second and then flipping our 22nd to another team to move up in the 10-16 range.

I remember when they opened their first restaurant, the line was endless. But their burgers are amazing
I went to Five Guys in London years ago and wasn't terribly impressed. I find Shake Shack more enduring. Love the whole experience. Great beers. Great fries. I can't handle the big burger though. Go simple.

We are not trading Buchnevich for a 2nd round pick :facepalm::facepalm:

How about you learn to read and comprehend at the same time. If you had the ability to read you would have seen that in the post it said flipping the 22nd overall pick for a pick in the 10 to 16 range plus getting a second rounder. That's a significant jump with the players available in that range that won't be available at 22. So you aren't just trading him for a second. You are also trading him to move up as much as 12 spots in the draft.

Players like Zary, Holloway, Schneider, Jarvis, Lundell, Sanderson are all not going to be there at 22. Don't kid yourself. Buchnevich is never bringing back a first rounder. NHL GM's aren't stupid. They understand that with Lafrienere, Kakko, Kreider and Panarin in the fold Buchnevich is on the outs. I'm also quite sure they are aware of Kravtsov now breaking out. So any leverage the Rangers had on Buchnevich is gone to the rest of the GM's. Defenseman are a lot more valued like Skjei around the league than headcase wingers who sulk when they can't score and take stupid penalties consistently.

Guy how about you learn how to write. @egelband called you out on it too. What you said was illiterate. It literally says “Buchnevich gets traded draft day for a second.” A second what? 2nd Overall? 2nd round pick? A quick second and then we take backsies? Yes you then say ‘and then flipping our 22nd overall to move up to the 10-16 spots’. You dont explain what you are adding to that 22nd pick to move up there. I guess we should assume its the 2nd round pick we are getting from the Buch trade. And if thats the case my original point still stands, trading Buch for a 2nd round pick is terrible f***ing value as a return.

So there’s that.

Hajek has come up in the past, so I can’t rule that possibility out.
Not to get all conspiracy theory, but Hajek still hasn't been assigned to a European team as far as I know. It looked like a done deal and then it changed. It could be that they got traction on the Staal trade, or his name is in deep trade talks and that team wants him playing in the NHL.

The loan to Brno fell through, possibly over insurance-related issues. Then Hajek said his agent had worked out something for him to be playing for Olomouc which is I guess is close to where he lives. However no official announcements came from anywhere, he hasn't played, and he's not on the team roster (nor mentioned anywhere at all by the team). Sounds like it never happened.

It's been two and a half weeks since he said he was going to Olomouc. Vince said when the initial loan fell apart that the Rangers expect him ready for camp when it starts. We'll see what happens with him.

as much as I love having the 1st overall pick especially this year, I really miss being at MSG for the draft party. Rangers luck is so bad that they couldn't even let fans celebrate 1st overall together :sarcasm:

Alexis Lafreniere to the Rangers sounds beautiful to me

It was the best of times; it was the worst of times.

The draft party would’ve absolutely been rocking.
