If you read my posts, you would already know the answer to your question.

L'Heureux is leading the AHL in playoff points with 12 in 8 games, with 20 PIMs.

Tomasino has 4 goals in 8 games. That puts him 8th out of 18 on the Admirals in playoff scoring.
Tomasino's 4G is 3rd on the team for goals. Not generating assists for one reason or the other but his goal scoring is really helping.

Kemell finally gets his 1G of the playoffs up to 8P total so he is almost up to a point per game now.

Afanaseyev on a heater as well up to 3G 5A.

FB posts saying that the Grand Rapids Griffins are NOT a classy organization. It makes me wonder what happened?

Wings/Griffs fan here in peace. We’ve had several euro prospects walk away from GRG unhappy and talk about it a little in the press there 10-15 years ago. But what is the word today?

I can't comment on the internal workings, because I don't know anything and have never visited Grand Rapids.

I can comment on what happened during Game 3. A person dressed up as an Admirals fan was shown picking their nose on the scoreboard. This was a staged event according to people on Facebook. My wife is on Facebook and I am not, but that was what was posted.

BTW, the Admirals / Nashville have lost a few guys over the years too, like Radulov and Ingram. It is not a DRW / Griffins phenomenon by any means.

Askarov 4 GA in 4 minutes.. have to think they go back to Grosenick in G5.
That includes Taylor taking the TO after the second goal. Askarov getting injured and Troy going onto the ice. Then Askarov comes in with no time lost and immediately gives up goal #3. Askarov and the team might have been better off if he sat on the bench for 2 or 3 minutes to pull himself together mentally and physically.

Askarov goes right back in and gives up goals 3 and 4 to make it 4-2. If Troy had come in and maintained the 2-2 game, maybe the Ads score or score in OT to win the game and series? Maybe not?

Just arrived and picked up the season ticket holder notes. CODY BEACH is one of the refs. He better call it straight and narrow today or it will be a fiery letter to the AHL president!!! Justin Kea (#44) is the other ref.

There are about 40 Griffins fans here. Cossa is in net, as always. The crowd of 6000 or so is really LOUD!!! Gravel and McKeown on D. Ozzy, Svechkov and Tomasino. Troy gets an extended standing O.

GR wins the face off, Ozzy with a big hit on 40! Egor hits 40, then Allison flattened 40 at the Blue line. No fake penalties as yet. Tomasino hit 40, Newpower. Now an Ads penalty for Holding by Kea.

L'Heureux scores on a shorthanded breakaway at 5 minutes. The assists to Cal and ? because the crowd was too loud.

High hit on Gross by 21, no call. Statsney called for Tripping. The GR player was falling down before Statsney got there, so FAKE penalty! GR took a minute to get to the O-zone. Ads killed it and iced it. Troy to the bench, his helmet is loose with 8:16 remaining. Ads cycling the puck, then it hit ref Kea in the skate. Ozzy tripped ar the Blue line and no call. GR intentional offside. The puck was dropped at Center Ice? 65 hit an Ads player in the NE corner well after the whistle and no call. Schaefer knocked 40 on his butt. 48 just elbowed Kemell in the head. It was called Xchecking. Svech over the bar. Didier hits O'Reilly after the whistle, Schaefer hits Didier, no calls. L'Heureux was mugged behind the goal, then he was speared and Beach just looked at it with no call. Beach is a SOB. 1-0 Ads, SOG 14-7 GR.

Period starts with Egor hitting the left post. Then he gets the rebound and shots again. Cossa looked behind for the puck, but it missed to the right of the net. 40 just tried to hit Ozzy in the back with his stick well after the whistle. Ozzy got his number. 26 just checked Beach in the SE corner. 4 hit Ozzy after the whistle and 43 came in behind to hit Ozzy. Ozzy socked him a good one after that! They get Roughing minors. Cossa tripped Statsney and it was called! Now it is 4-on-3 ar 3:56. Ozzy tried to jam and was denied 5-on-4. The SOG are 15-13 GR at 13:41, so the Ads shooting a lot.

Beach calls phony Interference penalty on L'Heureux to the displeasure of the multitude! Ads killed it, then had a player knocked down at the Blue line while the puck was 50 feet away! 65 punches Wilsby in the face, then jumps into his bench. Troy made the Save of the Year and has a few words for Beach! Where are the calls on Grand Rapids? They are back to playing DIRTY again. High hit in the NE corner, no call on GR. Troy saves one with his mask! Ads called for Slashing Luff's stick. Luff took out his mouthguard and said something, but no Unsportsmanlike call like he gave L'Heureux after the goal in Game 2!

GR interfering with the Ads line change for the second time this period! No call on that BS. Shine (65) had Del Gaizo in a headlock next to the Ads goal and Kea calls nothing! Kea is also a SOB!!! GR whining about icing!

The Ads had 2 players in front of Cossa and they were both tripped, no call on that BS! Egor giving Shine the business after the puck hits the safety net. About time that the Ads return the favor with 2 minutes left in period 2. Ozzy was just elbowed near the GR bench and no call. Troy with the save and Berggren tries to trip McKeown with 9.9 left. SOG 13-9 Ads. GR players whining AGAIN. Must be about the rain? Talk, talk, talk.

Period 3. The fans boo GR extra loud. Standing O for the Ads. Ozzy blatantly tripped in front of Beach and no call. That is a penalty 100% of the time when Beach and Kea are not the refs!!! 4 hitting Parsnip, no call. Kemell slashed in the hip and no call. Kemell yelling at Beach. Ufko from the slot, 2-0 Ads! Assists to Del Gaizo and Egor. Goal mouth scramble and GR is panicked. The Ads are checking them everywhere in front of me! Fifteen minutes to go. Kemell smashes Rafferty, then gets the puck and shoots on goal.

Cossa pulled at 2:44. Clock winds down to 2:01. The Ads had the puck in the Ozone but did not get a shot on net. Three misses by the Ads. One hit a skate and nearly went in.

Shut out for Troy!!! The first Ads PO SO in 13 years. The last was by Hellberg in the Bradley Center. Troy was the #1 Star with 30 saves. Cal was the #2 Star. He "assisted" on both goals, he screened Cossa "the Tripper" on Ufko's (1) wrister over the right shoulder.

Games on June 4, 6 and 8 here at 7, 7, and 6 PM respectively.

HC for GR was just ejected by Beach before the handshake line started!

The attendance was 7846 very loud fans during the entire game. On to Coachella Valley for the WC championship, just like last season. Kevin Gravel says that the team looks forward to playing them again!

The PIMs were 14 for GR and 12 for the Ads. The HC doesn't show up, but Beach gave him the thumb and told him to "get off the ice". Cossa should have a second penalty for Tripping

Looks like Askarov is fully injured and Grigals is the backup?

Plus Campbell and Allison in, over Foudy and Weatherby? I feel like it must be an injury for Weatherby anyhow, since he was playing well? Glad Stastney wasn't hurt bad.

Yes, Grigals was the back up. I did not hear anything about the nature of Asky's injury.

Campbell and Allison played well together. They add some more speed and checking.

The Ads went with their 11-7 lineup again.

The Ads fly to Palm Springs tomorrow. Games 1 & 2 are Wed and Fri at 9 PM CDT.

Not to beat a guy when he's down but we lose that game if Askarov is in net. He would have been panicking and out of position when Grand Rapids was dominating the 1st.

Playoff stats for the Admirals:

Zach L'Heureux leads the AHL with 8G and 5A in 10 games. Egor is 5th with 5G 4A in 10 games. Parssinen is 11th with 1G 7A in 9 games and Kemell is 12th with 1G and 7A in 10 games.

Troy is #4 ìn the AHL with 4-1, 2.00 GAA and .924 Save%.

Askarov is #21 with 2-3, 3.25 GAA and .882 Save% and 2 PIMs.

Coachella Valley has Chris Driedger (#8) with 6-1, 2.39 GAA and .921 Save%. He seems to be the only goalie that has played in CV's 7 games.

Max McCormick (#25) has 4G 2A in 7 games.
Devon Shore (#27) has 4G 2A in 7 games.

If Askarov missed the game due to injury it kind of sounds like he never should have come back in the last one. Might explain the goals in quick succession after returning.

CV is who knocked out the Ads last year. Wasn't D'accord their goalie then?
Yes, and Driedger is making $4.5M this season on an NHL contract, so goaltending is definitely going to be one of the obstacles the Ads are facing. Hershey (111 pts) and Coachella Valley (103 pts) are the two teams who were ahead of Milwaukee (97 pts) in the overall standings this season, so it's an uphill/underdog battle from here on out for the Ads.

CV also has a group of those veteran NHL tweener type players in Shore, McCormick, Hayden, Poturalski, Lind, Studenic, Fleury... to go with their 2 main NHL prospects Wright and Evans... it's going to be a really tough battle for the Ads and an upset if they win. Either way, will be great for our developing players. Too bad we don't have Jankowski/Gurianov/McCarron in the mix down there now. We just don't have the same level of older veteran type players as they do up front. Hopefully our kids are ready. :crossfing

Porter, Troy (4) has been better than Driedger (8) in the playoffs so far, so the Admirals have an advantage in that area. Driedger lost one game and is giving up 2.4 GAA vs Troy's 2.0 and one loss. Yesterday, Troy played the best game that I ever saw from him. He is on a hot streak.

McCormick and Shore (25, 27) are the only CV players in the top 30 in playoff scoring.

The Admirals have 4 players in the top 30 in playoff scoring (1 ,5, 11 and 12), so they seem to have an advantage.

My only concerns are that Milwaukee has only scored 7 third period goals in 10 games and that Askarov is injured and may not be available to play.

Last year, the series went 6 games. The Ads have a better team this year, with more depth, except in goal, with Askarov's injury.

I have not seen CV this year. If they are not better than last season, they could lose in 6 or 7 games, especially if Askarov can play a game or two to relieve Troy.

If L'Heureux, Egor and Ozzy can come through and Mutter can wear them down, the Ads have a good chance to prevail.
