Brunette was on the shortlist for other teams last off-season, the Preds may not have had much choice but to match the term other teams seem to routinely hand out. :(

Anyway, coach contracts always have an out clause... you can fire them. Although you have to keep paying them. But that kind of money isn't very significant relative to player payrolls, so teams don't usually lose much sleep over exercising that "out clause" if it becomes truly necessary.

I just think from all the United Front chats and everything we saw from Trotz and Brunette heading into the season, they are going to continue to be joined at the hip for quite a while. It will take something truly extraordinary for Brunette's job to fall into jeopardy in the next few years.
Theyll give him 3 years either way i reckon which is pretty standard which is about time for kemell, L'Heureux, Svechkov, Wood, Molendyk, Askarov and maybe fink, ufko, ingram, (college kids) and this years 1sts to be making their way up plus Parssinen, Tomasino, etc will be established. If things go south with bruno, might be a good time to swap out.

Elliotte Friedman and co, are mentioning the Milwaukee Admirals , and more specifically Karl Taylor. Karl Taylor is starting to be a hot topic of conversation in coaching circles.

Makes sense. Milwaukee is kicking butt right now. 15 game win streak. 19-1 in the last 20. Just wait til they get Evangelista and Afanaseyev back

Man, I understand what Trotz was thinking when the hire was made but it sure looks like it would've been nice to have Taylor up with the big club. Still too early to make full judgments but that's how it seems now

Ads win 4-0 against the Moose.

Askarov with the shutout.

Very clean game from the Ads. Didn't give anything to the opposition and used their own chances efficiently.

You already know who added his second goal in that game as well...

As hot as the Ads are at this point, got to wonder if Trotzy second guesses his HC pick. As a club Nashville HAS to learn to nourish and have patience with our prospects at the big club. So many 'average' skilled players blocking contract slots is a guarentee of continued mediocrity.

Roster construction.

The Admirals have one of the best constructed rosters in the AHL. If Taylor should be having a lights out season with that roster in the AHL and he is, no surprise.

The Preds have poorly constructed roster. Brunette is having a bubble team type of season with his roster, no surprise.

The Ads won again today, 4-3 in Manitoba. Askarov had 17 saves. That makes 17 in a row.

On Thursday, Milwaukee plays at Chicago at 11 AM. On Saturday, Milwaukee hosts Chicago at 6 PM. I expect the streak to end during one of those games. The Wolves greatly elevate their game versus the Ads. They never look like a 5th or 6th place team, more like 2nd place.

Stacked roster or not 17 wins is incredibly impressive especially with the amount of callups we’ve made from them during that time disrupting the flow.
Gotta consider... we technically have 3 of their points leaders called up: Afanasyev, Guiranov, and Jankowski

Apparently Svechkov was hurt and couldn’t put weight on his leg which is a big bummer

lol wow that’s quite a ways to go
Really need to send Jankowski back down then.
