What the stats scream at us:

ZL'H 44PIMS in 8 games? Stay in Milwaukee

Egor...get your ass to Nashville

Stasney is offensively ready

Reid...wow you need a few years in Milwaukee.

Askarov: #1 in GAA, #3 in Sv% in the AHL. Gee, I wonder why the Oilers goalie interest?

ALL the ATL players could be in Milwaukee
All 44 of ZL'H PIMs come from 3 games. 15, 12, and 17

2 fights
2 minors
3 10 min misconducts (2 for abusing the officials and 1 for crosschecking)

If he could leave those poor officials alone, the numbers wouldnt be too bad
So 6 games without a single penalty - hes played 9 now.

Anybody else have issues with AHLtv having video glitches with the Admirals home feed? I have watched the games using the away feed and the video glitches aren’t happening.

Also, anybody subscribe to FLOSPORTS to watch any other hockey leagues?

Aaron Sims was knocked off the radio a few times. The first time was during the National Anthem.

As usual, Texas scored first. After one period, it was 1-1. Dennis Gurianov (3) hammered one home from the right circle at 12:17 with an assist to Mutter (2). The SOG were 8-6 Admirals.

In period 2, at 7:01 took the lead with a Schevkov (3) goal from Wilsby (1) and Felhaber (2). At 19:21 the Ads took the lead 3-2 on a goal by L'Heureux (3) with an assist to O'Reilly (2) and Gravel (2). The SOG were 14-8 Ads.

In period 3, Texas tied it again. Milwaukee had a PPG at Felhaber (3) at 10:33 with assists to Kevin Wall (1) and Mark Jankowski (7). Texas scored with 41 seconds to go to make it 4-4 at the end of regulation by pulling their goalie. The SOG were 8-8. The PPG was the Ads first in November.

Kemell scored a backhanded goal on the triple deke at 2:33 into OT for the Milwaukee win. L'Heureux (4) with the assist.

Troy Grosenick had 22 saves. Grigals was the back-up again.

The Admirals moved up to 4th place with the win. They are 5-5. Texas is 6-3-2-1 and in first.

The independent Chicago Wolves are in eighth (last) place with a record of 1-6-1-1.

On Friday, the Admirals travel to Rockford for a 7 PM game, then host Chicago at 6 PM and finish at Chicago on Sunday at 3 PM.

I'm at a point of keep the kids in Milwaukee
Id like to see Afanaseyev up and Del Gaizo stick in the NHL. Both will require waivers starting next season and id like to see them both get some NHL games to get an idea of what they can do in the NHL. The rest of the kids can stay in the AHL till the offseason accept to fill in for a game or two to get them a taste if there is an injury. No need to rush though

Is Afanasyev PKing in Milwaukee this year? I feel like if he's going to stick in the NHL that is going to be a skill he needs at least in the short term.

We have already seen Del Gaizo is first recall in the event of injury. And he has looked ready. I suspect Afanaseyev will be "ditto" on forward. Just we had those waiver claims in Foudy and Fagemo (neither of whom have really looked that great). But Afanaseyev is definitely on track so far IMO. :dunno:

I do think Afanaseyev is ahead of Simon Knak atm, anyway. :sarcasm:

Afanaseyev has 6G in Milwaukee which is twice as much as the next player. We could use some goals from the bottom of the lineup so i dont see why he wouldnt be considered. He is doing fine elsewhere on the ice too. It isnt like trenin or smith are tearing it up

Ads up 2-0 on Rockford late in the 1st. Goals from Kemell and LHeureux.

Good news- Askarov is dressed. Not playing, but it's a front end of a b2b so maybe tomorrow.

Prokop making his AHL debut.
Those were PPG by Kemell (4), his first PPG on a 5-on-3 with assists to McKeown (2) and Afanasyev (1) at 8:34 over the right shoulder. L'Heureux (4) scored from the bottom of the right circle with assists to Svechkov (4) and Del Gaizo (2) at 10:41. The Ads have only 4 PPG this year, with 2 in this period. The SOG were Milwaukee 11-8.

In period 2, the Admirals had a flock of penalties, receiving the last seven called in the period. The SOG were Rockford 14-4 as they tied the game. The tying goal was a 5-on-3.

In period 3, Denis Gurianov (4) scored at 2:37 to make it 3-2 Ads. The assists were by O'Reilly (3) and Kemell (4) from the bottom of the left circle. Gurianov scored on the short side as the goalie was leaning the wrong way. There was a fight behind the goal 90 seconds later between Anthony Angello and Andrew Perrott, the son of former Admiral Nathan Perrott. Rockford tied it up about the time when their 5 minute penalties expired.

At 18:40, McKeown went 5-hole and scored his second goal of the season to make it 4-3 Ads. The assists went to Del Gaizo (3) and Afanasyev (2), both being their second assists in this game.

Rockford pulled their goalie, Drew Commesso (16 saves), formerly of Boston University, who has a 2.20 GAA. Rockford scored on a rebound at 19:48 to tie it. That is the second game in a row where Milwaukee allowed a goal in the last minute! Troy Grosenick had 33 saves.

In OT, at 2:20, Cal O'Reilly scored his second goal of the season from the right circle to win!
That was Cal's 25th GWG. Previously, he had his 200th assist for the Admirals. He is moving up the franchise charts in a few catagories. The assists were to Livingstone (2) and Svechkov (5), giving Milwaukee ten assists in their 5-4 OT win.

Prokop got a minor for Hooking in period 2, his only stat.

Milwaukee is 4-0 in OT games this year, three of those were on the road. The Ads are 6-5 so far, in third place. Rockford is one point behind in 4th place.
