The fact that Julien is still the coach should tell you something: like maybe he and (at least) his GM are aligned on the general philosophy that it's important to have forwards who are committed to playing a three-zone game.

But for every chorus of "Oh, great another 'Clode' player!" consider that this team has made a strong commitment to Tory Krug. They clearly see him as a significant part of this defence and this team moving forward. Not exactly a defensive rock - although he does okay for his size.

It's a team concept.

Dominic Moore feels right at home with Bruins

Though his role could evolve depending on the development of some young players, Moore checks off a lot of boxes for the B’s — he’s a left-shot center who has played on the wing, he’s an experienced penalty killer and he’s a better-than-average skater.

“I think that’s one of my strengths, that I’m versatile that way. I’m prepared for any of those scenarios and situations. I enjoy playing that kind of role as well,” said Moore, who played some left wing with the New York Rangers last year.

“I think at this point in my career, I hopefully can bring some leadership and lead by example as well. We talked about versatility and trying fill different things at different times —
faceoffs, killing penalties.
“I pride myself on being a well-rounded player and hopefully that adds an element to the team.”

Knew this was a good move the second it was announced. Moore is heavily underrated. Always used to piss me off with his shifty hands and veteran moves

the signing didn`t register with me too much, was actually expecting more out of Nash than Moore TBH, showing some really good things early on, that 4th line feels like every time they step on the ice, they do so with a purpose

Looks like I was wrong wrong wrongy wrong about my criticism of this signing. I know it's only the start of the year, but Moore has been consistently one of the most effective Bruins on the ice each and every game.

Same. But for the same reason I don't **** on new players their first month or two here if they are struggling, I'd like to see how he looks after some mileage this season.

At this point in the season a couple years ago people had Chris Kelly as the 7th player award winner too, and then he sucked.

Hopefully Domo got the year long juvenation machine hooked up. It would be nice to have one of these veteran signings actually work out for a change.

As a left-shot face-off guy/defensive center, I didn't mind the signing.

Never expected he'd be this good.

It's only early, but if the NHL goes ahead and allows LV to speak early to UFAs, with the provision if you sign another teams UFA you can't claim anyone from their team, if I'm Vegas I'd sign Moore before making a claim on the likes of Hayes/Nash/McQuaid/Kevan/Subban/Khudobin.

Liked the signing. Like the player.

Honestly, I like all of the 4th liners, Schaller, Moore, Nash and Acciari. I like Acciari better as a RW'er, although I can't help but wonder if we're robbing him of his chance to develop his offense a bit more. At this point, he's probably been too good to send down but he showed some offensive spark in the AHL playoffs last year and I'd love to see him add that to his already good hitting/energy game.

I admit I was worried about his age catching up to him, but he plays with more energy than the entire 3rd line. Smart plays and quick hands for a 4th liner type.

Like the signing right away after watching him for years, still has a motor and is Bergy lite the same way Eriksson was. Maybe he deserves to move up a line or 2.

I liked the signing at the time because he was good in the dot and I wanted him taking DK's PK minutes. One unscientific method I have always thought worked well in determining how good a player is...how much do you hate the guy when he plays your team.

I always hated Moore when he played against the B's, so I figured he would be a good fit here
