What’s up with Girard? Why is there so many habs fans obsessed with him?

Because he’s a stud shutdown defenseman making 5M a year and happened to find his offense this year being a top 30 offensive defenseman. He was the #1D on a top 5 NHL team this year.

As for the offer, not a chance. Avs laugh at it.

Girard costs you Suzuki+. Too much for MB to get. He needs to look elsewhere.

Graves for Domi is adequate value but no thanks. We have a good thing going on defense right now. We don’t need a 3C like Domi. JT isn’t as good but he’s cheaper and perfectly capable of that role. Plus he scores a lot of 3rd period playoff goals.

The Habs players the Avs would want are Danault and Gallagher.

I’d do Graves for Gallagher straight up if offered. But I doubt Sakic is dialing out. It’s MB picking up the phone to call the Avs. So that’s gonna cost MB. Anytime you call the other side, it’s going to be expensive to get what you’re calling to acquire.

Habs would have no interest in Graves for the myriad of reasons discussed in previous threads. Expecting Gallagher in return is comical and out of touch.

Haha, rumors... his daughter also goes to school there. Obviously, he would have interest in Girard as he fits the profile of what the Habs need. Graves. No he is not what we need And not enough of a track record to give up anything of valuyfor a guy you don’t need.
