Does Edmonton have the best broadcast team?

Don't mind them, but I think there are better pairs out there. I especially enjoy the Red Wings commentary.

Debrusk is a decent commentator and brings some good points, but if only he could find a another way to start his sentences than "Listen..."

Gene drives me nuts because it's such low-level self-congratulatory humor that only a mother could find funny/love . . . And yet everyone fawns over him. Sadly he is growing on me despite the awkward shivers I get watching what he does 99% of the time. The rest or the crew is great though.

Michaels is awful. Should have stuck to radio where his MONSTER TRUCK MAYHEM style might actually add something. Calling it cringe wouldn't even do it justice.

Louie is alright tho, maybe a little repetitive but I got no issue with him.

Principe needs his own standup routine that exclusively plays empty bars at 3 in the afternoon.

As bad as Michaels is doing the games on tv (and he’s as bad as his haters say he is), he was even worse doing them on radio. He has a bad habit of talking about things unrelated to the games for very long stretches of time, you could go a long time listening on the radio and have no idea what’s going on in the game. I gave up on trying to listen to him 20 games into his Oilers broadcasting career out of pure frustration. I’m shocked he wasn’t fired after that first year.

I like Debrusk, Singh, and Gene. I think Jack is annoying.

Bob Stauffer is also very annoying during the intermissions too, but whenever I see him I laugh cause when he's waiting for his turn to talk, he looks like a mean drunk mumbling to himself and he could start shouting obscenities to nobody in particular at any time. He also looks very uncomfortable sitting down in a suit

You won't find too many people if any that has the stats this guy has just floating in his head.

It's almost like Mediterranean Chicken pizza is hockey stat brain food.

I love Jack and Louie, maybe I'm in the minority of oil fans. Jack and Louie are my 2nd favorite after the world Juniors duo of Gord miller and Ray Ferraro.

Easily one of the worst broadcast crews. That screaming guy is a moron, while Debrusk seems like a sweet guy, he doesn’t add any personality whatsoever and feeds the oilers fans tall tales about how good their team is.

Joe Beninati and Craig Laughlin on Washington's broadcast are my favourite (as a Habs fan)

Yeah, one of my favorite teams as well. The Rangers duo is probably my favorite, though I may be forgetting someone. Rosen and Micheletti are top notch.

The Bruins have my favorite color guy, but least favorite play-by-play guy so they are somewhere in the middle for me. As a Blues fan, I'm pretty pleased with our duo of John Kelly and Panger.

Debrusk is one of the best in the game. I can't handle Michaels. Principe is the absolute worst and makes me want to throw things at my TV. He is too over the top for my liking. He just tries to hard and isn't funny. I find him the most annoying personality at Rogers.

I was stuck watching their feed for the game against the Sens, and I was pleasantly surprised. They seemed very knowledgeable. Principe on the other hand is annoying as f***.

Also, the worst color commentator BY FAR is Gary Galley. He does not know when to stfu, talks way more than the pbp guy, and keeps repeating really obvious dumb shit that anyone who's watched hockey before already knows.

Thoroughly enjoying following the Oilers this year, as someone cheering for them it’s awesome watching their games for more than just the on-ice product.

Commentary is always insightful, quirky, light and fun.

What I think really separates them from the rest of the league is knowing when to be homers and when not to be.

When it’s an Edmonton goal or big hit, they come alive, however if it’s a fight or a penalty their more analytical side comes out and they are more neutral.

I catch a lot of games and always enjoy their broadcast. When they play the Senators I always watch their broadcast, even though I like ours too.

Jack Michaels is horrible, Louie is probably the best colour guy.

Personally I'm more of a Cuthbert/Miller fan.

debrusk is perfect . and tonite louie working with cuthbert was as good as it gets and they should be the top pairing in nhl ! not to forget gene principe whose games of wit are an excellent touch ! and i still miss kev quinn whom was excellent and way better than the current actor or whatever oil have dumbly hired

exactly . i too thought louie was a hack when started , but now hes dialed right in . doesnt talk over game action , then makes pertinant insites when times right in a calm collected manner as a long term nhl insider . i quit watching oil when they brought in this new thing onpbp . and tonite i turned on the volume by chance and heard cuthbert than lou and almost did a cartwheel i was so stoked to hear the real deal which is a rare event now adays . besides detroit i can really only enjoy shells and rimes in cbj . sam n joe in nyr . panger crew in stlouis as darren brings the attitude and knowledge . of course gord as long as hes not working with johnson who NEVER shuts up , simpsons another non stop annoying talker

Quinn had a good voice, but by the end of his time here he perpetually mixed players up. Multiple times a game, every game. Him and Drew Remenda at the end were just a nightmare to listen to.
