Does Edmonton have the best broadcast team?

Oilers games are the most entertaining hockey available right now. I’m always up until 12 or so anyways so I catch a ton of them. Great hockey and a fantastic broadcast.

Love Louie DeBrusk but my favourite is Razor and Josh for the Stars unfortunately with the SN Now app don’t get to hear them very often as we can’t choose our commentary which sucks

Gord Miller/Mike Johnson is a better regional Canadian team pairing imo, they do the Leafs (and Ottawa?) on TSN.

I wish I could say Cuthbert but his partner drags the pairing down too much.

For American broadcasts I've always like the Capitals and Rangers, though I don't watch those feeds nearly as much since I dropped nhl.tv or whatever.

Dark horse for best broadcast: Golden Knights.

I miss the days of NHL2Night. You could see every team in the league, get a good mix of X’s and O’s, drafting, coaching styles; etc.

These days most regional broadcasts are way to sycophantic to take seriously…..a few get downright cringey. It shouldn’t be surprising that a “sports entertainment Mecca” gets the balance right.

i've got no problem with Jack the energy he puts into his calls is great, Debrusk is good too. Sorry Gene, the one liners gotta take a walk.

ARE YOU INSANE? Jack Michaels is among the worst announcers I have ever heard call an NHL GAME!

He is constantly........................................................... S C R E A M I N G

The Oilers down 5-1 the one game, and they score, and he screams at the top of his lungs....."And the Oilers are right back in this thing!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Every even semi-interesting thing that happens is a bad high school announcer, massive homer shouting match!"

I hate Jack Edwards the most because he is beyond the most massive homer ever out there, but at least he can call the actual game in between his barf-infested Bruins bias! Jack Michaels is terrible at calling the game and is super biased at the same time. Louie DeBrusk is fine as colour commentator, but if I never have to listen to Michaels again it will be way too soon!

Jack Michaels is like listening to some small time wrestling announcer.
I'm an Oilers fan and I hate it. I can't imagine what other people think listening in.

Don't get me started on Gene.

i know it's odd to say this, but they talk too much - debrusk always at minimum one sentence too long and the other guy.. well.. he is just annoying and has bad timing when he decides to chit chat

If by 'best' you one of the worst homers to ever exist, then yes

Every team has homer broadcasters. Have you ever heard Bob Errey? What are they supposed to do? Tell the home viewers how much the team sucks and how boring the games are?

Some of you guys...

Yes, we get Miller with Johnson or Noodles.

Before that, we had Cuthbert and Ferraro.

Couldn’t be happier having TSN do our broadcasts with the teams we have had lately.

As a rangers fan who watches a lot of oilers (mcdavid) games i find the oilers broadcast good. Neither guy is my favorite but theyvare certainly solid. Its nice that i dont dislike either guy like i do with a few feeds (seattle, la, anaheim, boston)

I do like michaels energy. He truly enjoys calling the game and you can hear his excitement.

I like the Red Wings, the colorman they are just so unbiased and provide solid analysis. The MSG guys for the Rangers are great. Radio crew is great too. Oilers are good.

Now when it comes to radio guys, there are several that make it seem like someone is applying finger nails to chalkboards. Way over the top.
