Does Crosby’s point-per-game streak end this season?

He will have to get his goal totals up in order to keep the streak going.

Only 2 goals in his last 15 games and on pace for 23 goals this season.

It's tough especially as he lost Guentzel. Not much to play with. I think he could still push 100+ points if he got elite linemates and still had #1 PP usage.

If it's something we've all learned - never count him out.

Such a tremendous player. A part of me wish he was traded to another team (unless the Pens can give him a better, much competitive team) at the same time he has won his cups and I love the fact that he'll stay with one club for the duration of his NHL career.

Legend of the game.

Sullivan is already stacking Crosby's line with Pittsburgh's best two wingers, Rust and Rakell, who are both right wingers. Still doesn't seem like it will be enough. Malkin on the second line has been left to play with the likes of *checks notes* Philip Tomasino and Drew O'Connor.

Your point about Guentzel is spot on, it seems like Pittsburgh misses him dearly.

They have the worst GAA in the entire league as well.

He’s on the #1PP. The Guentzel point is correct.
The top scorers on the Pens are 37,38,31,34 and 32.

27 in 29 games. Still a good chance to do it.
27 in 30 so maybe he gets it, maybe he doesn't.

Either way he has had an elite run that probably doesn't get equaled and that kind of tells you how consistently good he was and why he has the best case for 5th all time.

He will really need to get his goal scoring up in order to get there.

0 goals in his last 7 games and 2 in his last 16.

He’s on pace for 22 goals at the moment.

He’s really struggling to rack up points these days. He’s not 25 anymore and can’t carry a line with mediocre to decent players.
Being stuck on a poor Penguins squad doesn’t help either, but that was his choice.

At this point, I’d say there’s a 70/30 chance the streak ends this season.

He’s 37 with a lot of mileage on his body. Him and Malkin can no longer carry this team like they once did.

31 GP, 30 points, -4. Put a puck in the post before Rust scored the hattrick!

Crosby has 0 empty net points this season if I am correct. If he had like 3 empty net points he would have 33 points in 31 games. He is right on track with previous seasons, just getting zero empty net freebies that most top scorers bank on to pad stats!

If Crosby could get some points on the PP its still doable, but its going to be hard.

If I had to bet, I would bet on the streak ending! If no injuries 77 in 82 games seems a likely result.
