I know that, mathematically, that's PPG, but according to some in this thread, it's not PPG. And if there's anything you can trust over math that you can easily do and verify at home, it's an anti-Crosby guy on a discussion forum on the internet.

Regardless, in the same number of seasons, Ovechkin has been on the ice for 2,250 Capitals goals. Crosby for 2,101 Pens goals.

An assist counts just as much as a goal. It always has and it always will. In the entire history of the sport. That is just some weird subjective take you have. I mean the pens missed the playoffs last year and he was 9th in voting. If he turns it on and they squeak in some how, I could see him being a finalist.

It doesn`t matter. He technically leads in this aspect right now. All his 19 campagns were over p/pg, while Wayne had 48 in 48 in shortened 1995 season. Maybe McDavid in future repeated it. But its too early.
Aint it funny, when pens fans were claiming for a years, thaht Capitals are existing because of Ovechkin`s record. Right now its more like pens are playing because of record, which more like a question for 20 $ in "Who wants to be a millionaire"
