Brady was hammering guys all night, we can talk about whatever injury probably groin in the spin-o-Rama attempt befell Matthew. But that start was big and guys bailing on Brady in the area was seen at times and that was kind of the point. I actually think McAvoy’s hit on McDavid was probably the biggest impactful one, but it was clear from the onset we aren’t giving you an inch.

Also you are free to have your take on it. But the guys in the USA room talked about it a lot post-game, it seemed to matter to them which means a lot more than random internet posters.

Nobody bailed on Brady. That's adorable though.

A few odd ommissions for sure.

Probably would like Tom Wilson on the roster too.

Neither of Walt's boys would do much more than cling to Wilson like a kitten.

Team USA wanted it more last night. Cooper failed to adjust his lineup and kept throwing his favourite Tampa boys out there while Bennett and Marchand only got the odd shift here and there. Bennett was creating space every time he was on the ice yet he couldn't get more than 7 mins total ice time

Canada had more good looks. Helleybuck>>> Shitttington

Prepare to be disappointed since your expectation doesn't align with past reality. NHL players simply do not treat exhibition games like they are regular season NHL games. Why would they in this tournament since it doesn't even count towards anything?
Turns out some guys will play hard for the love of the game and out of pride in their country.

This is one of those instances where you should be happy to be wrong… more high quality hockey to enjoy. All-star level rosters minus the All Star Game effort.

All the fights seem to have done is put the focus on the Tkachuk brothers themselves and not on the actual hockey. I dont think those staged fights had any real impact on the game. Look at Larkin and, primarily, Hellebuyck if you want to point out why USA wins.
When the Tkachuk kids do shit like this it just seems like some desperate attempt to get daddy's approval.
It was a fun game to watch, the fights included, but their suggested impact is getting way overblown.
