Doesn’t look like that’s gonna happen lolIf the game goes to overtime both teams will clinch a playoff spot
Both teams have depleted lineups tonight.Fronts board saying the exact same thing about their lineup.
Hoping for either team with a regulation win!
Not to mention coach Williamson was sick/ absent as well. Both teams have depleted lineups tonight.
Although I’d say Barrie’s is more significant in skill missing tonight
He’s a late birthday 06 second round pick of the sens (fairly close compared to other teams)Gotta think if Barrie decides to go for it next year upgrading the import D man is a must it’s actually unbelievable how often he’s in the box
If Barrie drafts someone better than him next year and they’ll report then he may be outta luck I think Barrie will want hemming back next year as he’s a 06 too so will see. It’s unfortunately not just the pentalies but now other parts of his game have struggled a lot recentlyHe’s a late birthday 06 second round pick of the sens (fairly close compared to other teams)
I’d be shocked if he isn’t back next year. Probably just ask him to work on his penalties but how many of them are just because he’s tall? I know we’ve had a couple big d men and anytime they make a hit they get thrown in the box.
that sounds like he’s still pretty raw and has lots to work on. Won’t be AHL ready then despite the size. Either goes home(sens probably won’t want that) or stays in barrie IMO.If Barrie drafts someone better than him next year and they’ll report then he may be outta luck I think Barrie will want hemming back next year as he’s a 06 too so will see. Yeah that’s exactly what I think happens I think there offseason will depend on if Romani comes back and if they can get William Moore to report. If they can get 1 of those things to happen I could see them going for it again and if neither happens they probs do a big sell off. I do think Gardiner is back as a OA and they do bring back both imports if they can get them back. Barrie has had a pretty good history lately bringing guys in as imports so I think they’ll probs draft someone decent even with a later pick they were able to draft Eduard sale a few years ago with a fairly late import selection so who knows what connections they have. I do agree Hillebrandt probably gets moved in the offseason as Hrebik is the better goalie for my money but will see how the rest the season goes alot can change.that sounds like he’s still pretty raw and has lots to work on. Hemming was a first round pick but hasn’t been impressive at all this year. He is probably best in the OHL next year too but who knows how Dallas will go about it. He and Eliasson can both theoretically play in the AHL but I wonder if either does.
With you guys having such a high pick in the import draft after being probably top 4 in the league here you will be selecting likely around 45-50/60 players in the first round.
I highly doubt you get someone better than the 2 imports you have this year especially after the inevitable jump they take next year with added responsibilities after guys such as: Jelsma, Wakely, Van Steensel (potentially Romani too but I think he comes back such as Koehn Ziemmer in the WHL) potentially Gardiner too leave for forwards, and Akey, Bertucci gone for sure on d. If what I think happens, happens- Romani, Gardiner, Hillebrandt could be OA’s but with Hrebik potentially wanting more games I wonder if Hillebrandt gets traded in off season and they bring in another d to have a top 4 of aitcheson/eliasson/Passmore/OA D
Everyone back other than Bertucci tn is a game the colts need to get.Important game tonight need to get back on the horse and pick up 2 points. Hearing Akey is back tonight, unsure about patterson and hemming but jelsma is a game time decision and bertucci still out. Hope we can get at least 3/5 back but we shall see. Important game for OS as well chasing the playoffs so need to come to play.
Join the club.. the generals are doing the same thing....it's sad to watch .. I think Brantford is the real deal..
Unless they can win both this weekend and get hot the last handful of games it looks like Barrie will get the 2 seed which will probably be Sudbury a team Barrie has played well against this year. I think ideally if u finish 2nd you’d want Brantford 1 seed then Kingston 3rd and Oshawa 4th so they get Brampton 1st round and u get Kingston 2nd. I would say that’s your easiest path to the finals. And if u somehow get 1st hopefully Kingston gets 4th I think the 2 teams u wanna say away from most are Oshawa and Brantford till at least the 3rd round. And u cant sleep on Brampton either but I dont see the colts drawing them round 1These are the dog days for contending teams. Its a long season, there's lots of sickness going around the team but it shouldn't be an excuse. All teams are dealing with sickness and injuries this time of year. Its an opportunity for younger players to step up and they haven't. The vets haven't been very good either. Other than 1-2 games this month goaltending has been very average-tough night last night but the team stunk in front of Hillebrandt. D look lost without Bertucci and regular pairings. Constantly out of position giving up odd man rushes. Can't get pucks out and struggling with 1st pass when in trouble in D zone. Very little support by the forwards down low and most of the players don't play physical at all. All they do is the long pass and deflect in and chase. If you don't play physical how do you expect to create separation and cause turnovers.
Add in the continuous undisciplined play by the same kids with no repercussions. Too many terrible penalties.
The young clubs are coming at the top teams hard. Barrie hasn't looked great the entire month of Feb up and down the lineup. The trades haven't panned out as expected.
They have been outshot in the last month in some cases significantly. Outshot in 5 of the last 7. It was a mistake not bringing in a veteran D for depth for the playoff run. The 3 top lines haven't played as expected and whatever the 4th line has been has struggled recently.
They all need to look at themselves in the mirror including the coaching staff and find a way to be better because if they keep playing like this it will be a short series. Hrebik needs to be given the net now.
Lets go boys.
