The problem is, there are so many blacks in the media that just sit back and pounce on things like this, and then turn around and say and write equally ridiculous things.

You have Scoop Jackson at ESPN complaining that there were only three black athletes on the US winter Olympic team and whining about the decline of black players in MLB, despite the fact that diversity is at an alltime high in MLB. Scoop ofcourse fails to mention the decline of white players in the NBA, and those spots haven't been lost to Dominicans, Japanese, Korean and Venezuelan's like in the MLB, they have been lost to blacks. And MLB and NBA teams are largely owned by the same type of people, wealthy old white men who apparently are conspiring to keep blacks off their MLB teams but are fine with having their NBA teams be 85%.

Jemele Hill at ESPN is another one who lives for stories like this. She will use this one idiot to paint entire groups of people with the racist brush.

And ofcourse Screaming A. Smith.

And this is only sports journalists, doesn't account for people who make a living off stories like this.

I have been listening with fascination all the piling on over the weekend, continuing into today.

Not fascinated about the story. Fascinated with all the piling on. I guess most media in this country, if not the world, think Sterling heads the KKK. Or is the worst incarnation since Hitler. Another example is how we have way too much time on our hands to get on Twitter or Facebook or anything else and pile on as well.

Not defending Sterling, the guy is a moron and needs to sell the team. That's for sure. But he didn't kill anyone. It's time for the media to move on, but of course they won't until this horse has been well beaten to death. :deadhorse

They should go back to speculating on how flight 370 could have been swallowed by a black hole.

Poor CP3. I wish he was with the Lakers.

That was David Stern's fault. Too bad Adam Silver is the one who will learn the hard way why big-market teams like the Lakers are very much necessary in the NBA. :shakehead

Anyway, if Sterling were to gut the Clippers, the Lakers have more than enough cap space to buy off contracts. :3 :naughty:

ESPN is full of African American writers who like to bring race into every story even when it has nothing to do with the story.

Jemele Hill was on Around The Horn today and I was shocked with how open minded she was and looked at both sides of the situation, that's a first from her.

I'm not just trying to bag on African American writers, ESPN is full of writers from every race who are ignorant, don't know what they are talking about, or just plain dumb. It's astounding really for the "world wide leader in sports"

They know exactly what they are talking about and exactly how to spin it.

Pretty sure at this point Sterling has to sell, whether he gets pressure from other owners or not. All the advertisers are pulling out...that's pretty much an economic incentive to move on for Sterling.

It's been well known for a long time that Sterling is a scum bag of a human being.

Not buying that he had this tremendous filter that allowed him to keep these racist thoughts to himself (and his mistress). Not buying that no one in the organization ever heard him make racist comments before. I'm guessing that most who were around for awhile did, at least if they were white.

I accept that Doc didn't hear these types of comments before, but he took the job in spite of Sterling being the owner, not because of it.

I think when the dust settles, Sterling will sell. If he doesn't then all the players should refuse to report next year.

Sterling's girlfriend (or mistress or whatever the hell she is) is also a giant POS for releasing those recordings. Not defending the guy, but come one, that's insane.
