The way Hughes spoke at his presser, it sounds like a rookie is going to have to blow the Habs brass out of water to make the team next year.
I think Dvorak is gone but he’s liked in the room so I can’t see them trading him for a pittance in March. They’d rather let Beck cook in The A, imo.
Armia is confusing me lol. I wanted to let him walk, but he brings that size we need and id sign him for 2-3 years if he took a discount.
Same for savard, who I don’t think gets dealt. Maybe he comes back for 1 year as a depth D.
Pezz and Dvorak gone, newhook to the 3rd line. Evans signed.
Demidov and maybe Beck or tuch in (next year).
The (lack of) size of this team scares me if we make the playoffs.
I know guys like Hutson and CC can handle themselves but the research shows the bigger teams win in the playoffs.

I like this Armia but let's not forget how bad he looked for years. It's a contract year for him, still not convinced that he'll keep this up. Can look like a monster when on but like complete trash when off. Cheap short term extension sure but don't overpay for that guy.

For years? No he's had plenty of good seasons and playoffs with the habs, and bad stretches too. Overall he's been a net positive who gets shit on no matter how many times he disproves the haters

This is one of the games I've watched recently where I felt it was stolen.. and that's fine. We were due to have one and Dallas is probably the best team we've played. Just a solid hockey team.

Good to see Slaf and Newy get some G's. They needed them the most out of anyone I think.

Dobes.. what else can I say? 4 wins against incredible teams all on the road. Not to make this negative but if Primeau plays, it's 4 automatic L's. That's just the truth.

The money does not matter as much as the years. Two years max is the key here. I think he deserves 2.5-3 million.

I’d be ok with 2 x 2.5. He’s always gonna be frustrating because it feels like he should be a top 6 player with all that skill and physical attributes, but man is he a solid utility player.

Armia became possessed when Laine was activated from injury. He, Evans, and Heineman had been good before the others put it all together. He put on a clinic tonight.

Important to not forget Armia will be 32 next season. If he remains better than the kids it wont be for mroe than an extra year imo. Don't see him being better than any kid who develop in two years.
