Do you wear hair products most of the time?

Real question:

I need to put something in my hair to keep it down. I use gel right now but it shines too much. Any suggestions on stuff to try and looks natural but also keep hair in place/down?

Yes, I blowdry my hair first, and then apply a base of Headlock molding cream (matte finish). Then I'll mix a little bit of it with Axe Messy Look paste, and then a bit of the paste by itself because it is better for structure. After that I finish with whatever hair spray I have around (I should probably look into a proper hairspray), do some finishing touches and I'm good. Some days this can take like 15-20 min lmao

Was recommended at the shop I buy my product from, works great as a mousse/light molding cream with a matte finish. Not strong enough to hold my hair on its own however.

Cheap and gets the job done. Only complaint is that if you use it by itself it will flake. I used to use more expensive moulding waxes or clays but this has done the job consistently and you can find it almost anywhere.

You can try what I do when my hair gets too long and tends to get curly on the ends. I use got2bglued, the stuff in the yellow tube. I dry my hair. Apply relatively lightly, maybe a dimes worth. Slick my hair back. Dry so that that it's relatively stiff, brush my hair forward to desired appearance (it doesn't flake). It gets the slickness out, then you can use a tiny amount to stick the desired style. It takes me less than five minutes.

Gel, moose, hair spray, whatever. Do you wear it most of the time?

The only time I put gel in my hair is for very special events like a wedding or something. I tend to keep my hair short enough these days where just putting water on it is fine. Because of this I don't wash my hair everyday which is probably why it's so thick and no signs of balding.

Edit: Can a mod create the poll. When I was making it i clicked back and it submitted the thread for some reason.

I wear a toupee as a hair product most days.

"Urban Messy Look"? Wouldn't it be even cheaper to sleep under a dumpster?
