They arent a team yet. Still a bunch of all-stars put together and badly coach imo.

Last game 2nd and 3rd periods were horrible but there are still positives. The coaching staff have recognized their early mistakes about the long passes strategy and have try to regroup their players at 5 on 5.

Which mean, at this point the team have not gel but it very well could happen.

Perhaps luckily for the rest of the teams, tomorrow Russia got a fair chance to eliminate Canada before they got a chance to really shows their stuffs.

On the other hand, If Canada puts themselves into this game and and find a way to beat Russia... the remaining teams will be hard pressed to stop a Canada's team rolling on all cylinders.

We shall see but at this point Canada's chance are as good as any other teams and a little more. It's a definite NO if they keeps the same level of play, but does someone REALLY think this kind of play is the best this team can offer?

As good as Finland and Slovakia looked in the prelims, what are the odds one of them can go another three straight to win the gold? It seems unlikely considering their history and the enormity of these games. As shakey as Canada and the Czechs have looked, I still think they have a better chance of going all the way.

Probably not, but if Canada can bring thier "A" game for the rest of the tourney nobody will beat them.

Granted, Canada did run around abit in the 3rd today against the Czechs. However, I think that Bobby Mac and Pierre were a little more negative than needed to be today. It'll be tough but I am confident of Canada's chances tomorrow.

I'm optimistic. Drawing Russia is far from the worst thing that could happen as this team continues to get better. They won't have as much difficulty gaining the zone as they have in the past few games, but they need to tighten up on D and hopefully start connecting more passes.

I BELIEVE they will be better tomorrow, and get through to be better again in the semis.

I'm thrilled they're playing the Russians. IMO it's the best matchup we could have hoped for. Canada is fragile right now and the last thing they need to see is another trapping, smothering defence. They need to see some open ice and they need to create some scoring chances. It should be a little more wide open and hopefully it'll get guys like Nash and Thornton going. And if you can't get up for a Canada-Russia game, you deserve to go home early.
