Did anyone really expect Larkin to get 1st line minutes? There was some talk that he might not even make this team.
Just looking forward a bit and have to bitch about the scheduling. Americans are programmed to watch sports all day on Sundays. This Sunday happens to be pretty wide open and your average sports lover might be looking for something new to fill the spot. Great, lets not have any games that day. Lets put Canada-USA on Saturday night because that brilliant idea has lead us to being the 7th most popular sport in the country
This is just practice for the Olympics. 2 games left to try all the line combos.Damn, Finland was very poor. Those guys missing from defence will just hurt too much. Every pair is worse with one missing guy.
Also too many offensive lines were out of balance. Horrible games from Aho, Hintz, Rantanen. Middle6 does not work.
On positive side, Mikael Granlund seems always be the best on National team and also Määttä really raised his level and played one of the best games on his career.

Larkin absolutely should be playing center over Nelson and Trocheck. Terrible usage from Sullivan.f*** Mike Sullivan
I’ve never seen a player deserve more, but get less in his career so far than Larkin
I think there is enough time in the Olympics to get the game system and chemistry welved together. In Sochi there was quite mix up of generations, "old guard" Selänne, Timonen, Salo. "Silver generation" O.Jokinen, Ruutu, J.Jokinen, Lehtonen. "New Breed" Granlund, Barkov, Määttä, Vatanen, Rask. And "euro mix", basically rest of the team. Everything work out well. This timetable is just too short and so it will be at Olympics.

I'm actually excited to watch US vs. Canada even though in the end it's got me like this:

Hoping it's as much of a battle as they're hyping it up to be.
