Do you still believe in Canada's chance to win gold ...

I would say any team that is playin in the quarters have a shot for gold, it is a short tourney. That bieng said I still think Canada has a wicked chance

They still have a shot

They just have to figure things out in a hurry.

I don't think Tuesday's game against Czech is that big a deal for either team.
I wouldn't be surprised to see the Czechs start their backup goalie to give Vokoun a rest, since they will have a tough QF matchup, win or lose.

I said before the tournament that Canada's defense was their weakness, and injuries just amplified that weakness.

I'm surprised they aren't scoring any goals lately, but they've had some chances. They need to put a couple pucks in the net to gain some offensive momentum heading into the medal round.

Yes I believe and I also believe that it's very likely that they'll go to the gold game. Winning that is entirely different though and I wouldn't bet on that just yet.

Now if ever is starting to be the time when they have to find their game and start winning. If they do manage to click together then they wont be just the best team on paper, they just might be the best team on ice as well.

Not at all.
Not with these defensemen.

I don't even believe this team can score a damn goal.

Well if team Canada were playing well and at or near thier top game
and the team were still losing I WOULD BE WORRIED BAD

BUT, this is NOT the case.

With no tape to tape passes
With no transition game
With no chemistry yet
With no real feal of what is and what is not a penilty yet so team Canada can turn up the hitting game " without taking penilties"

Canada has 20 hockey players but it's no team at this point.
The good news is that these same 20 players are great talent.
They can gel into a team in a matter of 2 periods.

Will it come in time????

If they can, then we will see the usual team Canada attack in wave after wave of high % chances

well, this time won't face Belarus in any of the remaining 3 games, so probably no. but still possible.

Sure, in the end Canada will win the gold medal, in a final against Sweden or Russia, like I said before the tournament. And I still believe it will come so.

Doesn't look too good for them at the moment, but I wouln't count them out just yet.

Canada is the underdog in the next round. Look for an underdog upset :D

Of course they still have a chance. As do all the teams still in it.

Canada always was, and is still the gold favorite as far as I'm concerned. This handwringing from Canadians and gloating from other fans was exactly what happened in the last Olympics.

Of course I do. Remember Salt Lake guys...and I don't think Canada would mind playing the Slovaks much. I wouldn't even be surprised if they tanked it tuesday to finish 4th.

I remember SLC as well. If Tommy Salo doesn't blow the game for Sweden, Canada has to play with a little effort in the semi-final (similar to the US). Instead they get to play a tune-up game against Belarus and play against a US team that had to play its best and expend a great deal of energy against Russia. If Salo and sweden wins that game, Canada would have been looking for a Bronze or Silver at best in that Tourney...

I know i am stirring the pot here, but Quinn's coaching had less to do with the Canada gold, than the fact that Canada played Belarus in the semi-final in 2002.

I think they will win gold.Even playing badly the last two games, they had some excellent chances.

They are the deepest team in the tournament, bar none.
